Article Marketing For Cheap Traffic Results

Article marketing is a cheap way to gain traffic to your website. Although it can be time consuming the results of passive traffic far outweigh the initial effort.

Everyday, there are millions of searches done online by people searching for information on particular keywords in the search engines such as Google, Yahoo or MSN.

The results shown afterwards are websites with content relevant to the keywords being searched online. As a result, these websites gain search engine traffic through the article content on their websites.

Everyone knows that content is king on the Internet hence article marketing is widely used in almost every website. If you provide good content when you write your articles, you are sure to gain traffic to your website.

You don't have to pay a dime to write articles at all. Of course, if you don't have a penchant for writing articles or you cannot write articles on a certain topic, then you can opt to shell out a bit of money to outsource your article writing.

There are many article writers online who are good at what they do and are willing to write for money.

When you submit you articles to major article directories like EzineArticles, your website gets indexed fast. Visitors reading these articles can then be redirected to your website through your resource box at the end of the articles.

Article marketing is also a good way to build back-links to your website. Imagine this, when other websites retrieve your articles from the article directories, they will pull the whole article out including the resource box and display it on their website hence a visitor coming from their website may just visit yours as well.

Writing articles is also a good way to cement yourself as an authority on the subject. When you write good content and compelling articles, you will gain trust as someone who knows in-dept about the subject you are writing on.

So for cheap traffic results, consider article marketing as part of your marketing efforts.

Lead Generation Using Article Marketing

The Internet is revolutionary tool for the way we do business. This is because it offers two-way communication without the help of other forms such as telephone, mail etc. The whole transaction can take place within the realm of the Internet. This is most common with products such as books and music.

Article marketing in particular is a great tool for generating leads; this is because it is low cost and highly effective. Article marketing gives your prospects the opportunity to learn more about your expertise in your field. This allows them to decide if they would like to work with you or not.

Your articles have to keep to topic and be informative. This part will convince your prospect that you can deliver on your promises, if you can do that you have started to gain their trust. At the end of your article, this is where you want to offer your reader even more information about the subject matter and turn them into a lead.

The best way to turn a reader into a lead from your article is to offer more information in exchange for some form of contact information. After all, you cannot call it a lead if you don't have a way to follow up with them again. Savvy Internet marketers ask for a first name and email address as a way to follow up with their leads. When you are starting to build trust, you should not ask for too much information from your prospects. You don't want to seem like a stranger asking personal questions.

Profitable Article Marketing - Announcing 4 Brand New Secrets to Advance With Article Marketing

Today, you don't need to be a genius to figure out the best website promotion tool. Because everyone in the internet is raving about article marketing. Everybody is talking about how effective it is in bringing targeted traffic to a particular website and how it is so much easy to do. Anyone who can produce quality articles can succeed in this field and the only thing you have to remember is, you have to be consistent so the flow of traffic to your website will not cease.

Here are some of the top secrets to advance with article marketing:

1. Look for other avenues where you can post your articles. Don't be contented with publishing sites, blogs, ezines, and other websites. There are other marketers who are publishing their articles to websites that are syndicated by news aggregators and they get significant traffic because of this.

2. Stick to your topic. How would you like to read an article that talks about eight different topics? It can be downright confusing and annoying, right? So as not to disappoint your readers, make sure that your articles are focus on one central topic. If you have other topics in mind, create other articles for them.

3. Submit only original articles. Publishing sites have the resources to determine if your articles were copied from other site and they will reject your submission. To succeed in article marketing, you must make it a habit to write your own articles not only to respect other people's work but also to showcase your knowledge on your chosen niche.

4. Use easy to understand language and simple words. This is to make sure that your readers will not have difficulty understanding what you are trying to get across.

Profitable Article Marketing - Latest 3 High Powered Methods to Breakthrough with Article Marketing

The online business market is getting more and more competitive. In order to drive quality traffic to your website and get your fair share of online visitors, you must have a real edge over the rest. For this, I recommend that you give people what they really want - information. This can easily be done by writing and distributing your articles online.

Here are the 3 high powered methods to breakthrough with article marketing:

1. Offer valuable content. The information that are included in your articles are your strongest tools in article marketing. When you are able to provide good content, people who are looking for information that they can use on their blogs, lenses, websites, and portals will surely pick up your articles and republished them. This can boost the number of your inbound links that can lead to improved search engine ranking and increased page views.

2. Share a slice of your expertise. One of the main reasons why you are marketing your articles is to gain the trust of your readers so they will consider doing business with you. One of the best ways to do that is to establish your expertise and share some of your knowledge to your readers that they will find helpful and valuable to their lives. When you are able to help people, they will be most likely to return the favor.

3. Do a keyword research. This is the most effective way of driving qualified traffic to your website. You need to know the search terms that are being used by your potential clients when they try to find specific information online. These search terms, when found on your articles, will instantly bring your potential clients to you.

Network Marketing Success - Cold Market Strategies - Using Traffic Exchanges Effectively

Traffic exchanges are a great way to build your network marketing business online. There is a science to it though. Understanding what is going on at a traffic exchange is key to using them effectively.

So what is going on? Basically, you are looking at websites to earn credits that you can spend so that other people will look at your website. You have about 5 seconds to grab someone's interest before they are gone. To take advantage of that, you need a fast loading splash page or squeeze page.

What you absolutely do not want to use is a long sales letter page or an affiliate link. In many cases a long sales letter won't even finish loading before the surfer has moved on to the next site. The affiliate page or referral link most companies give you are so overused that your results will be lower than they would be if you advertised a unique splash page or squeeze page.

A splash page is a fast loading page designed to grab someone's attention and get them to click a link to get more information.A squeeze page is a fast loading page designed to grab someone's attention and get them to leave contact information before getting more information. I use squeeze pages more as I like to build my list as I am advertising.

You want to make your fast loading pages target the type of person that is likely to be using a traffic exchange. A free traffic exchange user is often new to online marketing. They usually don't have a lot of money to work with and they are not there looking for a business or opportunity in most cases.

What they are doing is clicking for credits to spend so that other people will look at their websites. It can be difficult getting these people to respond to your message, but once you hit on something that works, stick with it as it will likely work for a long time.

Traffic exchange advertising is fun and can be effective if you do it the right way. Use the information in this article and you will be well on your way to getting good results from traffic exchanges.

Link Baiting and Website Hooks

Link bait Getting other websites to link to your website can be a difficult task. But, as we all know, linking is one of the top methods employed by search engines to rank a website.

The number and quality of the links pointing to your website determine how much importance search engines place on the relevance of your listing in their search results. Link bait is one way that you can get some of those all important links.

Link baiting is a method, used by webmasters, to attract incoming links to their websites. The following definition, from Wikipedia, explains this concept.

Link bait is any content or feature within a website that somehow baits viewers to place links to it from other websites. Attempts to create link bait are frequently employed in the overall task of search engine optimization. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Link bait hooks

Link bait is a relatively new term but, the principles and practices of link baiting are not new. Webmasters have been using this viral marketing technique since the dawn of the Internet. Whenever a webmaster uses any form of enticement to get their visitors to link to their site they are in effect using a link baiting hook.

A link bait hook is any method or appliance used to gain the interest of visiting webmasters and entice them to link back to your website. A hook can take many forms. The important thing is that an effective hook must produce a call to action on the part of the visitor. They should be motivated by it to link back to your website.

Types of link bait hooks Methods of link baiting can be as creative or fundamental as you can imagine. Anything that compels your visitors to link back to your website, without being deceptive, is a good hook.

Although there are no set categories or types of link bait hooks commonly agreed upon by the Internet at large, it is not difficult to define a few. The following list is only a sampling of ideas. You can easily create your own.

Informational or "How To" Hooks Most Web users are seeking information. Providing a rich reference source or instructional website is a sure fire way to succeed in producing links back to your website. People will want to return often to a website that provides them with relevant information.

Content Hooks Provide fresh information and constantly changing content relative to a particular topic. This can be anything from aircraft types to zebra breeding as long as there is an audience for it. Becoming an expert on a particular subject will ensure back links.

Article Hooks Article writing is fast becoming one of the best ways to get links back to your website. If you can write well you can have your articles appear on one of the internet article publishers such as EzineArticles.com. Not only does this give you some exposure it also creates links back to your site.

Gizmo Hooks Create some sort of gizmo that is useful or entertaining to your visitors. Maybe a daily horoscope or quote of the day would work towards getting you some back links. New ideas spring up everyday.

The ultimate link bait hook It is my belief that the ultimate link baiting hook is quality content. Even the top websites owe their popularity to the quality of their content. If you are serious about designing a top ranking website then I say spend as much time as you can developing your content. That is the ultimate link bait hook.

Click baiting Another, often nefarious, method of using hooks is click baiting. This is when a webmaster uses some type of gimmick to fool you or bait you into clicking on a particular link. Usually a link that you the visitor would not have normally clicked. Needless to say this type of baiting is counter productive to the interests of your visitors.

The advent of contextual ad networks, such as Google AdSense and the Yahoo Publishers Network, have created a rash of such websites. Although they are constantly being policed by the big search engines, like spam, some of them still get through. Don't fall prey to this practice. It will hurt you in the end.

Article Marketing - Learn How To Get So Much Traffic You Couldn't Stop It If You Tried Part II

How does all of this relate to article agents? I am glad you asked. Some articles you write will have amazing results, some will have terrible results, but most will be in the middle, and you will find that your ability to predict which is which will not be very accurate.

I have written articles that I have poured my heart into and just knew that they were going to be read and syndicated by everyone. Then I have written articles that just flowed out so easy my cooling fan on my laptop did not even get a chance to start, and I had the article done and off to be reviewed.

Do you think that the results were proportional to my efforts? If you said yes, you would be wrong. The results are just as unpredictable as trying to choose which sales rep in article one was going to be the best. You just can never tell.

After all of that, we can finally make one more important point and that is that your control over the results of any individual article agent is very little, but your control over the number of article agents is completely in your control.

Now that you have the understanding that most articles are going to fall somewhere in the middle and your ability to predict which is which is not going to be very good, you know that you can focus your energy on the one thing that you can control and that will have the greatest impact driving targeted prospects to your site. Write lots of articles.

How many? Somewhere between 30 and 300, the more you write the greater the results, and yes, the results are exponential. What does that mean? It means that if 5 articles will get 100 visitors, then 100 articles won't get you 2,000 but probably closer to 3,000 or more. They build momentum from each other.

The other day I heard someone say that after they published a certain number of articles, they could not turn the traffic off. I don't know about you, but I am dying to have that problem. I promise not to complain too much...lol

Link Bait - What is it?

The internet marketing world prides itself on its own language and set of unique terminology that only someone used to surfing the wild and wooly world of SEO blogs would understand. While this makes for a nice code amongst those in the know, oftentimes I find new clients totally in the dark with the jargon, and afraid to ask for an explanation for fear of looking foolish! With the explosion of blogs and other social media, the term du jour for many web professionals is "link bait". While it might sound a little bit high tech and mysterious, it is actually neither! Let's take a quick, closer look.

Link bait simply refers to creating content that is designed to attract readers from around the web. I like to call it "strategic content" as it's written with a surreptitious goal in mind: To have other bloggers and social networks comment or refer to it in their own respective sites and communities as a "must read" piece of content. Of course, you are probably thinking that this is should be your goal for EVERY post you make, right? And this is true...but the fact of the matter is that is often tough to break through the noise online, and to REALLY attract readers like wildfire to a particular post or item on your site, you need to be a bit more pre-meditated in your planning than a normal post. I have a short list of 7 "C's" that I refer to when I NEED a big burst of readers, and need to ruffle some feathers or take special care to get them. Here they are:

1) Confrontation

2) Compilation

3) Comedy

4) Compliment

5) Controversy

6) Charity

7) Creativity

Any one (or combination) of these elements in a good post should attract a bevy of new readers! My personal favorite is Confrontation, just because it is so darn effective..:-) People occasionally need to be disrupted from their daily thought patterns to take a closer look at what you have to say, and if you challenge enough people, or a popular enough public conception, you are sure to get a backload of new backsides to your blog (or website!)

There you have it! Link bait explained. And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Go ruffle some feathers and have some fun..:-)

6 Reasons Why Good Link Builders Make Great Lovers

1. They appreciate the necessity of sharing. With a good link builder, it's not all about take take take, but they offer reciprocal links to quality and complimentary resources - they share the love to enhance the experience for everyone.

2. They are personal in their emails, referring to webmasters by their first name and establishing an informal repour - call it foreplay if you will.

3. They will call back and follow up any communication between link partners. One night stands mean nothing to a good link builder, as a link partner can be called upon again in future.

4. They will incorporate methods they perhaps have never tried before including link baiting and the penetration of social media in order to spice up the campaign. They appreciate that monotony is not going to get anywhere, but by keeping the experience fresh and exciting he knows he will succeed.

5. They are honest and will not say "it's not you, it's me" and won't string a webmaster along by dangling an offer of a reciprocal link in front of them, only to withdraw when their link is live. Good link builders either wants you, or they dont.

6. Of course the matter of paid links might cause some critics to consider the notion of prostitution, however I consider paid links to be like massage oils, 'toys', and lingerie in that they serve - providing they are good quality - to enhance the campaign. Good link builders, and lovers, know this.

I feel I have to add that whilst at Leapfrogg, I go far in my quest for high quality links, there are some things that I just won't do.

Article Marketing Revealed

Article writing and marketing is one of the greatest forms of advertising online today. In fact, the importance of article marketing has grown in the past years to become arguably the number one method of web-site promotion. Much of the success of article marketing is due to the existence of numerous article directories. These directories are essentially online websites that display content and they have become great places for internet marketers to promote their sites, for bloggers to gain free content, for webmasters to gain free content, and for readers to learn from experts on virtually every single topic imaginable. Assuming that you do all of your article directory submissions manually, your out of pocket costs will likely be close to zero.

In no time flat you can establish yourself as an expert on any subject that you happen to be knowledgeable on. Because article directories are voracious carnivores for quality content, they are always looking for fresh NEW content to add to their databases for their readers, webmasters, newsletter, and e-Zine publishers. Additionally, because article directories are full of keyword-rich content, they tend to rank well in search engines such as Google. Therefore, they are not surprisingly lightening rods for traffic and are seen by millions of people each and every day. You can easily take advantage of this traffic by simply writing and submitting articles to these directories. Its an excellent, low cost way to build credibility and to drive traffic to your website or blog.

When you submit your article to the directories you are allowed to include your URL in your signature. This URL ultimately becomes a backlink to your website. Backlinks are an important part of search engine optimization and the more back links to your site, the higher your search engine ranking and page rank will be. These links should link readers directly to your website, whether it be an online store or a content site. The more articles that you have distributed across the internet, the more links you will have. Search engines are looking increasingly towards the bigger article directories for use in their ranking methods, so writing articles is definitely a productive way to promote your site provided you include working links back to your site. But the back links included in your articles submissions are really just the first stop for your article. A large part of doing well in your article marketing is getting picked up by publishers with a large audience and gaining the ability of leveraging other brands because of the quality of your work.

Unfortunately, the article submission takes time and you dont want to waste that time. Fortunately, article submission does not have to be done manually, site by site, which is particularly useful for people writing large numbers of articles and trying to get them onto a large number of sites. Belonging to ArticleMarketer or iSnare, for example, or other article submission services available online will greatly increase the number of articles you are able to submit as well the messages in your email box from the article directory owners. If you still want to maximize the number of directories you are able to submit your articles to but can not afford the fees of the article submission services you can always opt to purchase various article submission software programs. Unlike articles submission services, article submission software only entail a one time fee. Although articles submission software will certainly save you time, some article submission software is semi-automatic. This means that you will still have to click from one article directory to another to post while other, more expensive versions are fully automatic.

While article marketing provides you a simple and effective way to market your business, understand that the entire process involves an intricate web of individuals. The three main groups that make article marketing possible are the authors, the sites that are looking to publish, and the article directories themselves. Each relies on the other to uphold certain standards in order to maintain the credibility of the article marketing business. As everyone does their job and holds up their end of the bargain, the article marketing process will continue to function effectively.

Advanced Article Marketing Strategy Reveals A Short Way To Sell Products Like Crazy

Let me ask you a very important question. Are you experiencing the results that you want from advertising your product. If you are not getting the results that you want you need to seriously consider promoting your website using articles.

As the famous sales trainer Jeoffrey Gitomer once said people only buy from people that they like, know and trust. If you write articles consistently and submit them to the major article directories you will find that people will build a relationship with you by reading your articles. Over time they will come to like and trust you because some people will like your writing style.

Now these people are the perfect candidates and if you treat them right will become your paid customers. This is the process that you need to follow. You have a link to a squeeze page in the bio of your resource box. On this squeeze page the reader can download a free report. This will build an additional layer of trust because if they like this they are very likely to purchase your product.

Once they have been added to your autoresponder this becomes your sales funnel where you will weed out the tire kickers from the serious buyers. I suggest that you have a valuable 7 day email course first before you try and sell to your subscribers. This will substantially improve your responsiveness. After this you need to have a few emails presenting a hard sell for the product that you are promoting.

Let us look at why this technique works so well with getting sales even if you have never gotten any before. Your subscribers will trust you because they know you very well from your articles. You first build up rapport with them and later on present a hard sell once you have established rapport with them

Try this and see how the sales of your product goes through the roof.

List Building - How To Double The Size Of Your Business With A 5 Minutes Work!

Building your huge list of subscribers is your ticket to becoming wealthy on the Internet. If you don't have a list yet, be sure to start today because you will almost double the size of your online business.

How to build a list?

First, you need to register with an autoresponder service like getresponse.com or aweber.com. These two services are used by top marketers who earn millions of dollars every year, so you can be sure that they are reliable.

Once you registered with an autoresponder, you need to create a form. Don't worry, this is really easy to do. In my autoresponder, I just click on the "create form" link and it's done for me.

All I need to do is copy and paste the code, and then add it to my webpage. It takes less than five minutes.

This form will automatically add your subscribers information into your email list and you will then be able to follow up with your messages.

Be sure to build a landing page with the unique purpose of capturing your visitors information. On this page, you need to have three things. Don't over complicate the process.

1. A Headline
2. Some bullet points
3. An optin form

That's it. You don't want to add any article or any other offer on this page because you only want your visitors to perform a single action: subscribe to your newsletter.

What about all the people who don't want to give their email address?

Obviously, if they don't trust you enough to give you an email and their first name, they are probably not going to give you their credit card.

You need to focus on building a list of buyers. Start building your profitable list today and watch your business explode.

You will never build a website without a squeeze page again once you experience how powerful it is.

Your Internet Presence and Networking Strategy - Creating a Marketing Campaign to Land Your Next Job

Your Internet Presence alone isnt enough to land a job when you find you need to proactively gain exposure to alternative employment opportunities. In order to maximize your exposure to career opportunities, you need to get your arms around one simple fact:

You're about to engage in the biggest networking and marketing campaign project of your life.

As such, you want access to every business card, contact and email address you've ever collected.

You want access to every tradeshow, symposia, conference, user group, relevant industry specific blog and website you can identify.

You want access to additional contact information via free and subscription based research services and databases.

You want to possess, ideally, ongoing memberships, and as a result - a working familiarity with professional business networking environments such as Ecademy, LinkedIn, et al.

Have you ever asked yourself, "Are there other networking sites that can compliment my networking process/needs?"

From the people that make up the membership demographics, to the platform capabilities from which the members network, to the nature of networking conducted on the site, to the philosophy of the executive team that founded the networking site - all networking sites certainly are not equal. Each networking site has a unique capability which can be leveraged in a networking process in support of a specific or ongoing networking need/objective.

Many people make the mistake of being "wedded" to a single networking site, and get frustrated with their ability to accomplish their immediate and/or ongoing networking objectives. This would be equivalent to attempting to build a house, and use the same type of saw in every application requiring "a saw".

There is a reason some wise person coined the phrase "Use the right tool for the right job."

Just like some people have their favorite search engine, some people have their favorite networking site. If you really want to increase your ability to network, invest time in learning how to leverage the power of more than just your favorite networking site.

Don't think of other networking sites as competing with each other; think of other networking sites as complementing each other.

Develop a plan of attack.

The old adage of "those who fail to plan; plan to fail" is absolutely true in a proactive job search campaign. You can't simply focus on approaching recruiters. Read: E-Mailing Resumes to Recruiters Won't Generate a Big Response.

Create a balanced plan.

Reaching out to recruiters and hiring authorities/executives directly by utilizing resume distribution services and a desktop email campaign software solution should be combined with direct networking by leveraging professional business networking environments (e.g., Ecademy, Linkedin, et al.). This creates an effective job search strategy that will increase your exposure to more opportunities.

Make sure your plan includes investing time in personally branding yourself on the Internet and building an Internet presence.

If someone types your name (e.g., "John Doe" ) into Google, are you anywhere to be found? Or quote industry leading personal branding consultant Cindy Kraft "Do you exist?" (see my related article: Do you exist?)

The easiest way to have Google find you is to write blogs. But it is actually a little more complicated than going out and creating a blog. You can go to a number of free blog sites and grab your own blog (e.g., Blogger, BlogSource, et al.), but that won't mean your name "John Doe" is going to return a hit on the first page of the search return in Google.

You need to be exposed on a site that is frequently indexed by Google, and has high page view numbers. Ecademy is indispensable in this regard. It has an Alexa ranking close to 1500 (i.e., 1500th most trafficed site on the Internet). That is similar to the amount of traffic on a site like United Airlines. Google "loves" the site because the content is constantly changing.

On a site, such as Ecademy, you can "blog" your brains out and write articles on the topics of your choosing - all of which will be indexed by Google the same day you write it typically. In less than a month, and in some cases in a single day, you will show first page hits on Google when someone searches on your name (e.g., "John Doe").

This is priceless from an exposure standpoint, and absolutely invaluable to a job seeker. No other networking site can compete with Ecademy with how fast you can personally brand yourself on the Internet. Google even indexes your Ecademy Profile, and there is virtually no limit to the amount of information you can build into your profile on a site like Ecademy, as compared to other sites like LinkedIn that only allow for a very limited profile.

That said, make sure to sign up and create a profile on LinkedIn as well. It's a great site too; it just doesnt offer the same capability as other networking sites. There are over 67,000 Staffing and Recruiting professionals using LinkedIn as a database of candidates. I always tell people to specifically make sure their LinkedIn profile has as much "resume" information about their career as the character limited fields will allow. Why? Because then the 67,000 Staffing and Recruiting Professionals in LinkedIn will be able to hit your profile when they do key word searches in "Find People" when they are trying to identify candidates for their searches - let alone the remaining +6.5 million members who might want to network with you.

Just remember, it isn't that one networking site is "better" than another. As I said above, don't think of other networking sites as competing with each other; think of other networking sites as complementing each other.

When seeking your next career opportunity, don't kid yourself; you are conducting a direct marketing and networking campaign. If recruiters and hiring authorities/executives don't know who you are, can't find you, and don't know how to contact you, you will miss out on a lot of opportunities to advance your career.

Happy Networking,

Best Link Popularity - The Best Link Popularity Strategy

Increasing site traffic, visibility, and profitability are the main goals of implementing the best link popularity strategies existing in the market for your online business.

Currently, Google shares one of the best link popularity strategies to use which is to be a pro-active online marketer. This means you make sure that you are visible where ever you need to be by submitting your website's link to or having link exchanges with various websites with high traffic.

Take note that the websites you have link with should have high traffic, which is deemed that the website is an important site by search engines as many people visit it. This means that the sites you hook up with are quality sites, and in a way, through link backs, makes you a quality site as well. If you are a quality site, your ranking increases in search engines.

In short, by being pro-active in increasing your website's visibility efficiently, search engines will follow in increasing your visibility in results. The expected outcome will follow: increased traffic to your website and higher possibility of earning a sale!

Your strategy for link popularity shouldn't stop in being pro-active in the submission of links. It should be followed in submitting articles about your business, products/service, and industry to the websites you have submitted your links to or have a link exchange program with.

These articles should be well "referenced" such that links going back to your website, where the same article is posted, are included at its end. This link you put at the end of your article will now server as the referrer for search engines to follow. Make sure you submit articles often to continuously increase your ranking and site traffic. Have a blog as well, even if it contains a listing of all the articles you've made already and have available in your website.

The blog should contain the same articles you've submitted to websites for your link popularity strategy to increase your visibility in the Web.

Are Reciprocal Links Really Dead?

When Google devalued reciprocal links in their search ranking algorithm, I, like many webmasters, dismissed reciprocal links as worthless. But now, having experienced something else other than improvements in my natural search rankings from them, I've changed my mind. So, I will boldly go where I haven't before and say that I believe reciprocal links are not in fact, dead and worthless.

Of course, if all you want to do is improve your natural search results, then reciprocal links will not help you. And these type of links should not be the only ones that you get, in terms of search ranking. But then, you shouldn't concentrate on any one type of link for that, otherwise your link profile will look unnatural.

But, like bum (or article) marketing, reciprocal links can provide a good deal of traffic when you get enough of them. And that traffic, independent of the search engines, can result in sales (if you're a product owner or affiliate), newsletter signups, or even just visitors to your site to be monetized by other means.

The secret lies not in getting one or two, or even twenty, reciprocal links. You do need a few hundred. But over time, those links, from good quality sites, can add up to a source of traffic independent of the search engines.

The problem with reciprocal linking is the fact that it can be time consuming. Looking for link partners manually can be more time than it's worth. But if you use a program to analyze the search results (there are a number out there, but I use Arelis), then this can cut down the man hours. In fact, by analyzing your competitors links, you can find which blogs they have left comments which forums may be valuable for promoting your site, and which directories they have submitted to.

Next, you'll want a way to organize your links so that it looks professional, checks the existence of the reciprocal link, and allows people to swap links with you without a lot of your input. I use a directory script for this rather than one of the old reciprocal link managers, because they have much more functionality, and look very professional. My favorite is PHP link directory. They have a free, older version, but the new version is only $25, with a link back to their site, and it is worth the small investment. You can even get included in their list of directories, which is a valuable link back from a high profile site!

I like PHP link directory because it allows you to add content to your new directory. You can accept articles from anyone, and even automatically show youtube videos embedded in the directory itself. This is a great feature that can increase the visitor value, as well as showing your potential link partners that their links will be placed in a valuable, content-rich part of your site.

Whether or not anyone believes reciprocal links are dead is really a matter of the old saying of beauty being in the eye of the beholder. If you want another source of traffic to your site, then reciprocal links are not dead. But like any form of link or traffic building, you should not focus exclusively on one thing. Get your reciprocal links, but use other forms of link building too. One way links remain the gold standard for rankings in natural search results. And one way links embedded in articles or other content are the absolute premium.

Article Marketing - How To Get Your Articles Read!

As a zero-cost, exposure-rich way to get your site noticed on the Internet, article marketing is hard to beat. After all, what other method lets you tell people about things that interest them, put your link into other large sites for free and virally spread the word about what an expert you are - for free?

The techniques are simple and well within reach. In fact, effective article marketing means keeping away from sophisticated literary styles. You are communicating with people who want good, clean information that's easy to digest and quick to read. It's as though you were explaining something to a friend. When you write your article, imagine that person to be in front of you and write your article so that they can immediately understand what you are talking about.

Although the techniques are simple, there are some basic rules to be observed. First of all you do need to write correctly. If you have doubts about your ability here, take heart. There are ways to get around this (notably, write short, simple sentences that have a good "flow") and tools to help as well. If you are using a text editor like Microsoft Word, then use the built-in spelling and grammar checker. In fact do this even if you have supreme confidence in your ability to write. It's extraordinary what errors can go unnoticed because you are re-reading the text that you wrote yourself. The checker will find these for you.

In addition to this, a number of article sites, focusing on quality articles, include basic spell checking as a possibility in the submission procedure. Note that quality for them means the same thing as indicated above: articles that are of interest to their readers and that bring them clear, relevant information in an easy to digest way.

Your choice of article sites will be important as well. Some of them are very big and well represented in the search engines. On the other hand, it may be more difficult to get your articles authorized for inclusion. You'll want to write a series of articles in any case to get into the swing of it and to test on various sites. Submit your articles and keep track of how quickly they get included, what the click rate is (how may people reading your article) and how well your articles get rated in search engines, especially for keywords that interest you. Then compare and focus on the article sites that are getting you the best results.

Article sites also have guidelines on length of articles. In fact, make that "restrictions" rather than "guidelines". When you read their submission procedure, you will typically see how they want articles to be submitted. For the length, 250 words is a minimum, 500 words is more in favor. But don't make your article too long either. If you find that you have a lot to say, then chop your article up into 500 word chunks, each chunk dealing with one aspect of the topic. That way you'll be able to submit multiple articles as well and benefit from multiple exposures.

Next on the list is the resource box that is also a feature of many article directories. This is where (and it is the only place) you get to sell. Do not sell in the main text of your article. Inform, entertain, question if you like, but avoid the sales pitch. Editors will often refuse articles that come on too strong on the sales side, and even if they make it through, readers will lose interest fast. After all, their goal in reading is not (yet) to buy. Warm up the discussion by degrees. Give them good information that encourages them to get to the bottom of the article and to click on your link to then go to the next phase of "pre-selling" or possibly a sign-up page for a newsletter, a product or a service.

Have some fun with the resource box if you like. Apply some of the classics to grab people's interest, like spiking their curiosity, using appropriate humor or appealing to their instincts of greed or fear. That's what will incite them to click on and go to your site, to make your article marketing a success.

Online Article Writing - Giving the Reader Confidence in Your Expert Status

If you write online articles it is important to relate to the reader that you truly know what you are talking about and give them confidence in your expert status. There are many ways to do this and it is best to let it ride or leave it subtly implied. It is best to show them not tell them, although telling them might also be a good idea. For instance after writing 11,111 articles online I am an expert in online article writing and therefore you as a reader might learn quite a bit from me.

This is one way to work into the article the fact that you know what you are talking about. Recently this subject became a very popular subject at the top online article submission website on the Internet, when some asked on the Blog:

What do you do to give the reader confidence that you are the expert, the authority on the topic?

Generally, if you speak from an authoritative voice and talk "matter of factly" the reader will get the idea pretty quick that you hit the subject matter head on and get right into the juicy stuff without delay or a lot of wordy fluff. When I write an article this is what I do and it has indeed worked for me with over 4.3 million article views on one website alone, without counting all the syndicated article views.

Of course it goes without saying that you need to know your subject matter or you should not be discussing the topic at all in my humble opinion. If you know what you are talking about it should show and it is your job to show them with substance, an authoritative voice and a clear direction. Your expert status should be obvious.

Is Your Site Optimized Enough For Top Ranks?

Entrepreneurs, organizations, and professionals these days know, that having a significant online presence is of immense value.

Having a functional and relevant website not only helps a business or organization prosper, it also allows them to thrive in a competitive global marketplace. The strategic importance of a website can be seen from the fact that at present, there are around two billion or more websites on the Internet, and this number keeps on growing literally every minute.

To make sure that your website works efficiently and is found by those who require your services, then you should need to fully optimize your site. The art of website optimization helps to guarantee that your site will be found among the multitude of sites that are currently cluttering the Worldwide Web.

The Logic Behind Website Optimization

Website optimization is the term for the process of devising and crafting your web pages to ensure that they have a high ranking in popular search engine results. If a business entity is serious and is determined to have an online business presence, then optimizing their web page is of utmost importance.

When designing your website, it is vital that you specifically design it to get a higher ranking in search engine results, and to do this, you need to use the following stuff: Meta tags, Keywords, Title tags, Image Alt tags, Text as well as the overall design of a website. These components play a large part in fully optimizing your site. Although many search engines these days no longer make use of Meta in gaining higher rankings, these however, are still vital and should be included enhancing your site.

Why It's Important To Optimize A Website

The answer to the question above is quite simple: if your potential customers and target niche cannot locate you online, then they will most certainly find your competition, and when they go to your competitors, your business most likely will fail.

As a matter of fact, over 85% of online shoppers and buyers use search engine results to find the stuff they are looking for on the web. If your page then is not ranked in the top 10 or 20 of the search results; it would be tough for your online business to succeed, since no one will find you, and they cannot buy from you as well.

Factors That Help Optimize Websites

- Put In Appropriate Keywords and Phrases. First and foremost, you need to select keywords and phrases that best suit and properly refer to what your site is all about. A keyword is used to effectively describe the contents of your web page is. If your website is about baking, then the best keyword to use would be 'baking'. When outlining the content of your website, ensure that you concentrate on just a few important keywords and phrases, since keyword phrases play a very vital function in optimizing you site.

- Text. Because your text plays a major role in influencing your website's page ranking, it is of vital significance to optimizing your site. Take note that when drafting or composing your text for your site, it should contain the proper number of vital key words and phrases, which are used in different ways. Keep in mind that your keywords and phrases should appear at least three times, but not more than seven times in your texts.

- Meta Tags Help Describe Your Site. Meta tags are HTML codes that are found between the < HEAD> and < /HEAD> tags. These tags contain a description of your site and are found in the search engine results when you key in a certain word or phrase. Ensure that your Meta tags include your most important keywords, so that your customers will know exactly what your website is offering.

- Title Tags. The title tag of your site must always contain the most important keyword phrase of your site, since this will aid you in getting higher search engine ranking results. Type your key word phrase in lower and use only the most relevant keyword phrases.

- An Image Alt tag comes after a website's graphic address or URL in your HTML code. To fully optimize your graphics as well as your website, ensure that you insert a readable keyword phrase within the Img Alt tags.

Link Building Strategies

Links are very important in internet marketing as they are basically the way that all of your visitors find you. People do not like to have to remember a domain name, then go and type it into a search bar, they prefer to just click a link and get what they want instantly, this is why building links to your site is very important.

Links not only count for the traffic that finds you through them but also the fact that they improve your search engine rankings. Search engines determine how "popular" a website is by the amount of links pointing to it and the more "popular" your website is, the higher it will rank in the search results.

It is also a good idea to use anchor text for as many links as you can as this will help you rank well for the keywords in that text.

You can use the following strategies for building links to your website:

Writing and submitting articles to directories. You can write and submit articles to article directories and include a link in your author resource box, this will get you a one way link for each directory you submit to and there are hundreds of directories on the internet. You can find these article directories by searching google for them.

Ask other related websites to exchange links with you, this is when you would put a link to their site on yours and they would do the same for you. This is a very popular way of building links and there are many webmasters that openly accept link exchanges, you can also find websites that are made specifically just to help webmasters that want to exchange links meet each other.

Link directories. There are thousands of link directories out there, some are paid and some are free, you can submit your website to them and hope that they will accept it. This is a quick way to get a lot of one way links as all you have to do is search google for "link directories" and then spend some time submitting your website to as many as you want.

Most forums will allow you to include a link to your website with your posts and this can be another quick way to build your links, everytime you make a post on the forum, you gain another link to your website.

Press releases can be effective for gaining a lot of links but it would probably be best to use a paid service for this, your press release will do much better for you if it is written by an experienced copywriter and is submitted using a service that will ensure maximum distribution.

Viral competitions can produce amazing results in very little time if executed well, you should give people an excellent reason to link to you such as a cash prize or a free product and let them know that the more traffic they send you, the more chance they have of winning the prize. This can create a frenzy of people working to send you traffic. You should plan this first to make sure you have a good return on investment and you have all the details worked out.
