Squeeze Page Profits - How To Build Your List If You Are On A Shoestring Budget?

Many Internet marketing newbies start their online adventure on a budget, and although pay per click advertising is one of the best ways to quickly build a list of subscribers ready to buy whatever you have to offer, thy can't afford it.

What is the best and fastest way to build your list if you are on a budget?

Submit articles to the best articles submission sites. It's very effective. It's the very fist thing I did when I started online in early 2006, and although I thought it wouldn't work at this time, I am still relying on this form of traffic.

To be honest I got slapped by Google when I tried pay per click advertising, that;s why I decided to come back to article marketing.

And you know what? I am really happy that the big "G" slapped me because article marketing is building my list of subscribers on autopilot for me.

Article syndication has many advantages and here are some of them:

1. It's a one time work.

Once you submitted your article, you don't need to do anything else. In fact, other webmasters will do the work for you. They will pick your article and promote it for you.

Here is how it works.

Many ezine owners and AdSense site publishers are desperately searching for new content everyday. If you are article is good, they will add it to their website or send it to their list.

Imagine for a moment that a webmaster owns a high page rank site that get a thousands of monthly visitors? Imagine that a hundreds of websites add your article to their website?

It works like crazy. Just be sure to add a resource box with a link to your squeeze page to capture email addresses and follow up with your promotional offers.

What is SEO?

When creating a website we always seek to find free traffic to that website without having to work too many hours to achieve that free traffic. By successfully developing a good SEO strategy you can increase your rankings within the Google and Yahoo searches and top your competitors.

First we need to understand how SEO is determined by the search engines. The search engines determine placing your website on the first two pages of a searched keyword by these main criteria:

    Relevance
    Popularity or rankings
    Link connections
    Viewings online
    Good content

Relevance

The more narrow a search is the more likely your website is likely to be called up for specific searches based on relevance. It is therefore important to include a lot of content within your website.

The more content you have the more likely you are to stumble upon people searching for obscure keyword searches which will only be determined by content within a site or blog pages.

Popularity

This is determined by how often your website is viewed and also if it registers with any major other websites or social marketing means. These can substancially increase your seo as they are often owned by the same search engines - hence blogging and UTube have become so successful.

Link connections

The more companies you link with the better. It is all about who you know. (as in real life!) The more highly ranked those websites are that you link with, the better it is for you. By ranking with a website that achieves a ranking of 4, you are almost guaranteed a top ranking within a short 48hrs!

Viewings online

By placing your website address on various different forums and chat rooms owned by the various different search engine companies, you are almost guaranteed to increase your rankings. Get involved in as many forums and chat rooms as you can (specific to your industry) and you are likely to gain an increase in SEO and natural traffic from those viewers. Google and Yahoo search through each others sites to determine SEO by popularity and how often your website is seen on the world wide web.

Good Content

Google and Yahoo want to give their searches a solution to their search. By offering good relevant content which really solves the readers problems or answers their questions, you are giving their readers what they want. Don't just write arbitrary information - you never know who might be reading it and making a judgment call on your website. It could be the difference between a sale or not!

SEO is a much more involved concept and there are software tools to determine rankings, anchor text and how many linkages high ranking websites have.

New Free Online Tool for Keyword Research

I came across a new website the other day and was quite pleasantly surprised.

Basically this is another really great way to get targeted keywords for your website. And the best part is it is free to use. You can check it out by going to http://www.nichebot.com

You simply enter in your keyword (I noticed you cant use more than 2 words) and it will give you a list similar to what you would see in Wordtracker. You can choose to have your keywords shown through a Wordtracker database, Overture database, thesauras, lateral or with a keyword analysis.

It is pretty extensive and I highly recommend that you check it out. It gives you five statistics for the keyword you type in.

1.) Phrase - Exact keyword phrase people are using to search the search engines.

2.) Count - Number of times search phrase was used in the past 60-days.

3.) Pages - Number of pages listed in Google with any or all of the keyword phrase.

4.) Competition - Number of pages listed in Google with the exact keyword phrase.

5.) Ratio - Number of sites for every 1 search; the closer to zero, the less competition.

Wanna know your Google ranking without having to buy expensive software? Nichebot also has a way that you can check you ranking.

At the bottom of their homepage you will see a link that says Google Ranking click on the link and you will be able to enter your keywords and website url to check your ranking.

I think this website is going to get big really quick. Hopefully it will continue to stay free to use.

Go check it out and see for yourself: www.nichebot.com

Article Marketing - Article Marketing Tips for Newbies

Article marketing is one of the absolute basics of internet marketing. Having articles all over the internet is a marketing method which enables you to invest some time and effort right now and reap the benefits for years to come. This article will explore some of the advantages of article marketing and its subtleties in order to help internet marketers to use it to their best advantage.

Anyone who's been doing internet marketing for a while knows that writing articles is imperative to the success of one's online campaigns. Having articles in various article directories is a great way of providing links back to your site, thus building your site's popularity. When a page has many links back to it it helps to attain good positioning in the search engines. An article directory which has a high page rank is the best place to submit articles to as this helps to boost your page's rank.

Bear in mind that people take articles they enjoy and publish them in their ezines and on their websites, further providing you, the author, with more back links and publicity.

When you have articles of your own posted in article directories you can slowly establish your name as an expert in your niche. People will be more apt to trust your recommendations.

Although it may be tempting to write a bunch of articles in one day and submit them to a few directories, exercise caution with this. Why is that? Because Google is quite sensitive about a sudden surge in traffic to a link. Although we would all love a sudden surge in traffic, it may cause Google to de-index your site in order to look in to the reason for the sudden popularity of your site. It's better to submit articles every couple of days.

In the process of article marketing, don't submit an article that is already on your own website. It may be considered duplicate content and you don't want that! Google would consider the site which is higher ranking to be the originator of the article (the article directory) and your site's page rank may suffer.

Don't submit PLR articles without making changes!! There is so much PLR available today (free and otherwise) and it is very tempting to just grab it and use it. Don't do it. The purpose of these articles is to provide you with a basis for an article. Read it and rewrite it in your own words. Duplicate articles could be rejected by the article directories and the directories may just decide to ban your account.

Try to use good keywords in your article's title and also in the beginning of the first paragraph. Sprinkle your chosen keyword all over the article as well.

Most article directories allow you to use hyperlinks. For sophisticated and efficient article marketing try to use anchor text that relates to the keywords you are targeting. This will help you attain a better position in the SERP's (search engine result pages). If you are targeting the word "gardening tips" make sure to hyperlink to your website from each mention of the term in your article. This will help your gardening site be higher in the search results for the term "gardening tips".

Try to remember that people will be reading your article. Make it readable for them and don't just concentrate on the density of your keywords. If people don't enjoy reading the article, they won't bother reaching the end of it, which is where you will lead them to your site from the ever-important resource box!

In summary, article marketing is a very important, even critical, element of internet marketing. Every internet marketer should be making the effort to become proficient in article marketing and learning how to write decent quality articles in as little time as possible. It will bring in terrific long term results.

Happy writing!

Search Engine Submissions That Boost Link Popularity!

Submit to 10,000 Search Engines or Submit to over 200,000 Search Engines. This kind of ads should attract customers. It looks great to submit to so many search engines. Submission software is offered that helps to submit hundreds of websites to hundreds of search engines during several hours. What is a realistic, possible result of all these nice tools? The achieved link popularity is near Zero, but the mail box is filled by the autoresponders from the mass of FFA (Free for all) search engines.

Which Search Engines count?

Only a few of the many search engines really count! 99,9 % of all those who go on-line to find something use one of the 18 top search engines. Scrub The Web provides this information in its member area. Yahoo, MSN Search and Google are the top three search engines according to Alexa Ranking. Alta Vista and AllTheWeb also famous search engines - belong to Yahoo and are supplied by Yahoo.

If Link Popularity of a website is measured by the services that provide this information, only the Link Popularity of a website at Google, MSN, Yahoo, AllTheWeb, Alta Vista or Hot Bot is displayed. This shows that only a few search engines really count for Link Popularity. It is not necessary to submit to thousands of search engines, but to the few important search engines in the right way.

Manual work instead of automated submissions

Yahoo search demands that a submitter of websites has to be logged in a Yahoo email address before the submission can start. Submitting to MSN is only possible after typing of a code that is presented in a window. Google says that it is not necessary to submit a site to their search engines. Their spiders crawl the web and can find the websites. Google offers anyway an Add URL page and does not penalize repeated submissions. It seems that Google Sitemaps is a recommendable tool for webmasters to improve the chance that websites get indexed.

Submissions to directories

Submissions to directories result in good quality links to the website. The Open Directory Project is the most important of all directories. It is very difficult to get a site listed in this Number 1 directory. Repeated submissions are necessary. Google favours websites that are listed in The Open Directory Project. The Yahoo Directory comes next but it is expensive. The websites of vilesilencer and trendmetrix list hundreds of good directories. A lot of them are free and of high quality. They are spidered by the major search engines. This high quality links are not only good for boosting the Link Popularity, but of the Google PageRank.

Quality counts

The conclusion is that only the quality of the links counts that can be gained from search engines and directories to the website. Submissions to thousands of search engines are a loss of time and resources. Most of the work has to be done manually. Good results can be achieved, but it is a question of time, rather in months than in a days.

But unfortunately there are many website makers who are unaware of the purpose and benefit of SEO. A website that doesn't appear to the level of SEO requirements is useless.

A keyword is a term or phrase that relates the visitor to your website via the search engine. The keyword defines your website. Its purpose is to make your website appear before the visitor at his search. For example if you are a real estate agent, then you will place the word real estate agent in your website a couple of times.

This will make the visitor reach your website. You will make it more clearly by more keywords. For example if you are a real estate agent of London, you will place more words of real estate agent of London. Thus it is very important to place all of the keywords in your homepage so that the search engines would situate most of the visitors to your website. Advanced SEO - The Characteristics Of A Perfect Incoming Link

What is a quality incoming link? This article describes the key characteristics of a perfect link. For explanation purposes, the sample company is a shoe retailer called Fred's Sports, and the keyword phrase being optimized for is "blue Nike sneakers".

Key word phrase in anchor text
Unless you put your keyword phrase in the anchor text (the text that describes the web site being linked to), you are wasting a lot of link power. Unfortunately a lot of people don't know this an end up putting their company name in the link text rather than the keyword phrase that they want their company to be found by. Much better that they link anchor says "blue Nike sneakers" than "Fred's Sports Store".

The link is from a relevant page
Google and the Google-powered search partners seek relevance in the interconnectedness of web pages. Incoming links should be from pages where the content on that page is related to the content of the page that is being linked to. A fishing related page linking to a casino site is an example of a non-related link. A jogging related page linking to a blue Nike sneakers product page is related and is looked upon favourably by the search engines.

The link goes to a relevant page
Another mistake that people make is always linking to the home page rather than to the most relevant page to the anchor text. If the link anchor text is "blue Nike sneakers" then the link should go to a page about blue Nike sneakers, not the home page. This is by far and away the most common linking mistake.

The link is from an authority site
Links from high Google PageRank sites are worth more, a lot more, than links from other sites. It's all about trust. A link from a trusted site tells the search engines that the sites linked to are also trusted - it's a vote of confidence from a credible source. Links from .gov, and .edu sites are also reported as having more weight than standard links. They are also more difficult to get adding to their perceived quality.

The link is at top of the page
Links from the top of a page (except for the header), are said to have more weight than links at the bottom of pages. It's the same with keyword phrases. A keyword phrase in the heading is worth more than in the body text.

The link is one-way, not reciprocal
Google's algorithm looks for link exchanges between sites and rates these links lower than straight one-way links. If possible, look for one way links by creating link bait - compelling content that will encourage people to link to your pages.

The link is within the body copy - not an advertising zone
Linking should be a natural part of the body copy. Recent reports suggest that the search engines will derate links from parts of the page that are traditionally sold for advertising. these tend to be the margins, header and footer areas of the page.

The link does not have a nofollow tag
The nofollow tag is a recent innovation that tells the search engines that although I am linking to this other page, I do not vouch for the page's integrity. In short, the nofollow tag tells the search engines to ignore the link. Obviously you do not want links to your web pages to have nofollow tags. Be careful with link exchanges. Some dishonest people will exchange links with you but use nofollow tags in the links to your pages to preserve their own link power.

There are few links on page (less than 20)
One link to your web site from a page with hundreds of links does little for your SEO results. The page's SEO power is being distributed over all the other links on the page. Goo;le's guidelines recommend no more than 100 links per page, but I believe 20 is a reasonable goal. You never know when the Google algorithm may change. The perfect page that links to your pages should have no more than 20 links.

Article Marketing - The Higher Your Article Volume, The Higher All Your Other Numbers Will Be

Article marketing is simply a numbers game. The higher your article volume, the higher all your other numbers will be. That's it, thank you and good night.

Really I could stop there and you would have some great and useable information. But there is this little thing about minimum word count, so I'll explain that statement a bit more.

Article marketing is a numbers game

Here is why this statement is so important and powerful. Most people that begin in article writing and article marketing will write one or maybe even a few articles, wait for all the wonderful results that do not come right away, and then claim that article marketing does not work.

Article marketing works. Some people do not work, however.

The bare minimum number of articles on the internet that you need to just begin to see a steady trickle of traffic is 25. Everything after 25 articles increases the trickle.

If you are serious about article marketing, life really begins at 250 articles. If this article is accepted, it will give me 1017 articles on just one article directory. I could not stop the flood of daily traffic if I wanted to, and I sure don't want to.

Here is what I know -

If I want more traffic, I write more articles.

If I want more prospects, I write more articles.

If I want to build my list, I write more articles.

If I want more subscribers, I write more articles.

If I want more customers, I write more articles.

I think you get the point. If you want to raise any of your important numbers, write more great quality articles.

Lucrative Article Marketing - Uncover 5 Intriguing Methods to Jumpstart Your Article Marketing

If you are seriously thinking of using articles marketing to drive traffic to your site, pull up your search engine ranking, establish your expertise in your chosen field, and generate more income, you need to uncover these 5 intriguing methods so you can jumpstart your article marketing:

1. Make sure that you only submit original content. Copying somebody else's work in article marketing is a big no-no. This will not only tarnish your credibility online, but you will also be penalized by major search engines.

2. Target human emotions when writing your article. Instead of focusing your efforts on logical reasoning, touch your readers' emotions by pushing their buttons. How? If you are selling diet pills, focus on how weight gain affects the confidence and social life of your readers.

3. Keep your paragraphs shorter. Ideally, you should explain one idea on every paragraph. As a writer, you must be able to explain that idea in 4-5 sentences. You can easily do that by finding the most appropriate words to get your message across and eliminating fillers and fancy words to make your paragraph direct to the point and brief.

4. Provide your readers with useful information. Make sure that the content of your articles contain information that are highly relevant to your readers. If they are facing problems, be sure to offer solution. When you do this, online users will appreciate your writing and you will build a huge following in no time.

5. Make every word count. When you are using fillers and other unnecessary words on your articles, you are wasting your readers' precious time. To make your readers feel that you value their time, strike out words that do not help you in getting your message across.

Tips for Success With Article Marketing

The first step in article marketing is the submission process. Ezine publishers, article announcement lists and article directories are the most common places for submission. This will accomplish several things.

For starters, you will be considered as an expert in your field. This will establish a trust between you and the readers, as they will be able to value your opinions.

Submitting articles will also allow for greater publicity of your business. Submission requires a resource box to be attached to your article. This contains a link to your website that will be seen by the reader. If the reader wants to know more about what you do, they can simply click to see more.

Article marketing also allows for a non-reciprocal link to your website. This is important for your search engine page rank. Typically, more weight is given to non-reciprocal links in search engine page rankings.

So maybe this all sounds good to you, but you aren't comfortable writing your own articles. If you don't have the writing skills necessary, consider using private label articles. These are becoming more and more popular, and many of such services are available with new ones popping up all the time.

However, there are some specifications that need to be taken seriously. Otherwise the results produced may be problematic

The good thing about private label articles is that they may be able to offer the non-writer a high advantage over other markers. When used properly, they will likely increase your sales, traffic and opt in subscribers.

Be cautious of making the most common mistake known to private label articles: getting lazy. Put it in your mind from the start that copying and pasting the article for submission is a bad idea.

The majority of directory software will automatically do a search in their database to see if the title has been used before. If this is the case with an article that you submit, then yours will be rejected.

So, change the title at the very minimum. It's also recommended to change the wording in the first paragraph.

Another word of caution regards the number of links placed in your article. Many marketers will include so many links that the article just becomes an ad in a longer form. This will definitely get your rejected and maybe banned if it occurs too often.

The purpose of an article is to provide the reader with valuable and useful information. As long as your content is well written, the chances of the reader clicking on your link will increase.

Why Article Marketing Creates Such High Quality Traffic

As you might have guessed by now, article marketing is my favorite form of traffic.

By the way, what is article marketing traffic? Article marketing traffic is traffic that is created when I write articles about the topics that will interest people who would buy from me in the future, put links in my articles to web pages on my site (in my case, squeeze pages on my site), and submit those articles to the various online article directories.

So why does article marketing create such high quality traffic?

This is how article marketing works, on the visitor end: someone reads my article after searching for their desired subject online and my article has come up in the top ten results in the search engine. They read my article, and many of them click out of my article without reading any further or without clicking into my site.

That is the most important part! That is my screening process! I get rid of the deadbeats, the people who dont like me, who dont like my name or my ideas, or whatever. That means that only qualified people will get to my web site!

So this means that since only qualified people will get to my web site, then I have a list of people who are much more highly qualified than just about anybody else in my niche.

There is an incredible screening process that goes on with article marketing, that just doesnt happen with PPC or classified advertising, or banner advertising, or just about any other advertising online. It just doesnt happen with the other sources of traffic but it does happen with article marketing.

Best Article Marketing - Revealed - 3 Remarkable Secrets to Grow Your Article Marketing

Article marketing is one of the best internet marketing techniques that is proven to augment a website's traffic. It's success largely depend on the quality and quantity of articles submitted to publishing sites. So, if you have the knack for writing and you have enough time to submit your articles, this technique is the best for you. Here are the 3 remarkable secrets to grow your article marketing:

1. Use interesting, attention-grabbing titles. Your title is one of the elements in article marketing that plays a very crucial role. The quality of your titles can either make or break your marketing campaign. If your titles are lousy, there is a slim chance that your articles will be read by online users. Thus, it is very important that you know how to create titles that will pique the curiosity of your potential readers. Communicate the summary and benefits of your articles through your headline and make it brief, concise, and keyword-rich.

2. Specific vs. general topics. To make your articles more targeted, I suggest that you go with specific topics where your article can focus on one central theme. Discussing one broad topic in your article can cause confusion among your readers because of the amount of information they have to digest. Learn how to break down broad topics to more specific ones so you can get your message across easier.

3. Create your own template. If you have been using article marketing for quite sometime, you probably have an idea which of your articles that are generating interest. Make use of these articles when you draft a template. Take note of the elements that make them appealing to your potential clients and apply those on your template. This will make your writing easier and more effective.

With the advent of article marketing, making money online cannot get easier these days. If you have the knack for writing, you can use this marketing tool to augment your traffic that can lead to increased online revenue. You can also write and distribute your articles to sell more products if you are engaged in affiliate marketing.

1. Article submission sites. You have to make sure that each article you write conforms to the rules set by publishers to increase their chances of being posted online. Here are the quick tips to easily win the hearts of publishers: Your articles must be keyword-rich, informative, useful to your target market, content-rich, well-written, short, scannable, and interesting. Articles that meet all the mentioned elements will surely dominate the online arena.

2. Write. Write. Write. One of your objectives in writing and distributing your articles is to make your online presence felt. You can easily do that by writing numerous articles and continuously striving to augment the number of your output.

3. Search engines. In writing your articles, it is not enough that your content is useful and valuable to your target market. Your content will be useless if your potential clients cannot find your articles online. Make your articles search-engine friendly by sprinkling generous amount of keywords and search terms on your content. Don't forget to follow the appropriate keyword density too if you don't want to be penalized for keyword abuse.

4. Target market. There are so many considerations that you need to keep in mind when writing your content but you should put your target market on top of your priority list. Why? These are the people to whom you are writing your articles for and they are the ones who can ultimately help you realized your article marketing goals.

Article Marketing For Ezine Publishing

Article marketing can be used to develop backlinks by submitting the articles to a range of article directories online, or it can be used to develop direct traffic by submitting your articles to some of the highest traffic article directories online.

The full power of your articles is unleashed when people find them so interesting, or relevant, that they copy them to use as content in their own website, ezine or magazine. This the third, and most powerful use of article marketing. When they copy your article your name and resource box must remain with it. In this way one article can provide you with hundreds of back links. It is not unusual for a webpage, previously unlisted on Google, to reach Page One by the simple expedient of writing a few articles.

It is important if you can link back to a specific web page, rather than your home page, since a deep link to your site is more valuable than a link to your home page. You can get back links to your home page by submitting your site to website directories. These, however, do not allow individual page submissions, so deep links by means of article marketing should be used whenever possible.

This is the power of article marketing, and it can provide you with lots more natural traffic than paid adverts, and whats more, the traffic is targeted to the theme of your web page. Nothing is static in the world of search engines, and you should strike while the iron is hot. Article marketing is currently the hot way of achieving high index positions, but it may not always be so, so take advantage while you can.

Multiple Streams of Article Income

For anyone who wants to live the dream of working from home, article writing on the internet offers a very real opportunity to do just that. Whether you want to earn money directly for the articles you write or use your articles to help sell a product or drive traffic to your website, there will always be a market for well written and informative copy.

Ideally, you should not put all of your eggs in one basket. Try to build up a good working relationship with a couple of clients who can give you regular article writing work and pay you per article. What's the best way to do this? I recommend the Guru freelance job site. There are a lot of freelance work sites but not all will pay well. If you can write decent copy fairly quickly, you shouldn't have any problem getting clients.

However, if you are capable of writing good editorial copy you should also use this to create and sell your own information products such as ebooks, tutorials, articles or tip sheets and sell them directly through your own website. I recommend keeping a log of everything you write during one week. After a week, sit down and figure out how you can put together multiple articles to sell as a report.

You can also use your website to market your skills as a writer to prospective clients. But you may ask, how do I drive traffic to my website and boost sales of my information product?

Once again, you can use your writing skills to achieve this. You can submit your articles to article directories to help create links to your website which will boost your sites popularity among the various search engines and should increase your exposure. The more you write, the more your traffic will build over time. Don't give up if traffic is small at first. Consider each article a salesman that goes out and knocks on doors. Eventually, someone will open a door.

When you submit an article to an article directory, webmasters and editors can use your content for free but the article must include your profile and a backlink to your website. This is how you get quality backlinks to your site. Out of every marketing method I've tried (i.e. link exchanges, directory submissions, PPC), article marketing has brought me the best backlinks and the most traffic. Another option is to find an affiliate product that you like and believe in, write articles to promote it, and get a commission for each sale that results from your articles.

The beauty of article writing is that you can write about any subject you want, no matter how specific. In fact, niche areas are often where you will find the most success. You can also use your article to promote your products while driving traffic to your website. If you are selling an ebook on flower arranging, a number of well written articles on the subject linking to your website will increase the chances of sales.

5 Advanced Tips for SEO and Your Website

When creating content for your website and taking Search Engine Optimization (SEO) into consideration, there are some additional advanced techniques to consider to help get your page positioned well in search results. Good content, keyword rich file names and directory paths, inbound anchor links to your site, keyword rich page titles and meta descriptions are important, but these other tips will help as well.

Page Redirects / Site Moves

Use a 301 Redirect via the .htaccess file. A 301 redirect is the most efficient and search engine friendly method for web page redirection. It's not that hard to implement and it should preserve your search engine rankings for that particular page. If you need to change file names or move pages around, a "301" is interpreted as "moved permanently"."

Use a Rel="nofollow"

To better control the 'votes' or 'page rank' you give to other web sites that your web site is linking to, if you add a rel="nofollow" to a the hyperlink, it will prevent any link benefit to that site keeping the value of your link juice on your web site. A web page with this tag indicates that the destination of that hyperlink should not be credited any additional ranking by user agents (search engine bots) which perform link analysis upon web pages (search engines). For example, on your web page you link to a neat article found on some person's blog. Rather than boost the ranking of that blog, you can add the tag to your link which allows you to not 'endorse' the site, just link to it.

Legitimate Link Building

Link building can include, blog posts, directory submissions, link exchanges, or other advanced link building efforts such as link baiting. Search engines are cracking down on 'Paid Links' so if you are doing, or planned on doing that, forget it. Save your money because doing so will put your web site at risk (if caught) and be dropped from the index. The best method currently is to do a link exchange with other similar and relevant content as to what your web site is about.

Link Baiting

Link baiting doesn't have to be as negative as it sounds (though people will abuse it most likely). Simply said, link baiting is basically attracting anyone who can link to your site to your web site...and have their web sites present your link to as a web site to visit. The trick is, to have a web page that creates this type of social buzz where everyone wants to link to it.

Local Listing

You should optimize your web site to attract local traffic by showing your address and local phone number prominently at the top of the web page. Use Yahoo Maps or Google Maps to display the location of your store (if you have one). You should also submit your web site to the free local listings services on Google (which now display 10 locations) and Yahoo. You will also need to make sure your web site is listed in local directories such as City Search and ask customers to leave reviews of your business on these web sites.

These 5 advanced techniques, in addition to the 5 Beginner and 5 Intermediate techniques, when done correctly should help with your organic ranking. Also be aware of the 5 SEO Abuses that can get your site penalized or even banned from the search engines.

Do, What, Who, Or Why Write, Submit, And To Who?

Repeatedly, I hear website owners should write articles. I also hear "build the list". Manually, I click on emails saying drive traffic to your site, get this free report". I advised to link things here, and back link there, send out newsletters, get a solid product, get google adsense, buy ads, and have affiliates, wow!

Blinking through the multitude of meaningful advice, I ask myself what is the one thing do I need to do, if only one thing, mindful of task, clean and simple, do I do? Alternatively, try it this way: In order to increase traffic or business to my site/product, what one thing do I do that works? Answer: Write. What do I write? Answer: Articles. Simple answers do not necessarily mean simple solutions, but in this case, writing articles and article distribution is a simple task, relatively easy to implement, with potential immeasurable rewards.

I am going to assume I just finished my first article, and know if my guts it is a good article. Now what? Keeping it dead-on simple, I know need to employ the mysterious tactic of article distribution. It really is not that mysterious after all, as I see distribution involves the use of websites known as article directories. There a large collection of articles is hosted, and categorized according to topic.

Naturally, the topic of my article will be most important in its proper handling within the directory. It also follows that my article, with an appropriate topic, related as directly as possible to my website and/or product I am selling. Now I am ready to consider, one last time, the content of my article. Since I have a product that I believe in, I will include in my article the special key features of my product. My website, with a ready-available link, will have the full details of my product.

Part of the mystery of article distribution is that More is Not Better. If a good article makes circulation, it is my natural inclination to think I should submit 150, in one week, and really round-up some traffic! A reasonable goal is five per month. In this manner, new, updated, fresh information is available to customers to read and absorb. Writing articles is a simple, relatively easy, conscientious, and reliable tactic to attract traffic to a business, especially if done on a consistent basis.

Advanced Article Marketing Secrets - Learn The Fundamentals That Will Boost Your Profits Part 1

The big advantages is that it is completely free so you get to keep all the profits. Also the leads are proven to convert up to ten times better than other sources. Think about it logically who would you rather buy from an author who writes consistently and helps you to build your business or an advert that you clicked on in Google. As a famous sales trainer once said people only buy from people that they like, know and trust.

Now let us look at the purpose of an article. It's primary purpose is to generate leads. You may be wondering why you would like to do this? Very few people will actually buy from a site that they do not know much about the very first time. If you are very lucky you will get about one percent of people to buy.

An important part of the relationship selling of internet marketing is to generate leads and then first warm those leads up and establish trust and credibility with them before you start selling to them. At this point in time I am sure that you can see that article marketing is a long term process. You may only reap the full benefit a few months down the line. Your primary goal is to build a big list of long term subscribers that you can sell to over and over again.

Basically, this is an asset the same as a house or shares that you invest in. Every time you send emails to that list you will make money.

Copywriting is one of the highest paid positions in business and can make you a valuable income if you provide high-quality copy for your clients. Why would you want to provide less?

As an Internet Content Provider, Im astounded at the number of lackadaisical articles that just dont quite measure up, coming from well known authors who could do so much better. But then I sound like a judgmental word hound. Perhaps, I am.

Ive heard it said, They wrote Fannie Hill in 1942 and nothing new has happened since. Im not sure Id go that far, and I honestly dont recall when Fannie Hill was written, but quite honestly, there isnt much NEW stuff out there. Getting a fresh idea, doesnt have to mean you recreate words (although I do that), or that you cant imitate someone else (I do that too), or even that you have to have the first original idea to be in the running. You dont. But something has to be fresh.

A new twist, a bright color, a feeling or emotion placed with an old idea often brings an ad or a report to life. Give some soul to your work, put some feeling into it. Pack a punch with emotion!

If you cant feel what youre writing, your reader wont feel it either.

The most interesting ads I read are the ones that capture me, because I know the writer put some effort into them. I can recognize the writer behind the ad.

Not too long ago, I was talking to a friend who writes business articles along the same lines as mine. She had submitted an article for publication and the publisher said, This sounds like Jan Verhoeff. What an incredible compliment to me! I was surprised that she compared another writer to my tone, but I was thrilled that she recognized my voice strongly enough to do so.

Profitable Article Marketing - 4 First Ways to Improve Your Article Marketing

If you are just like any webmasters who are aiming at driving huge, quality traffic to your website, you must learn how to attract your target market by giving them what they truly need - valuable and useful information. This can easily be done by writing and distributing your articles on various directories and leading article submission sites.

1. Make your articles search engine-friendly. There is no denying it; search engines are still the best sources of traffic these days as 95% of online users are using them whenever they search for information online. That is why, you need to know how to please them so they will properly index your articles and make them easy to find online. This can be done by identifying the most searched keywords within your target niche with the use of a keyword suggestion tool. Use these search terms on your titles and article body and know how to strategically position them on your articles so you can assist search spiders in analyzing your content.

2. Consider your potential readers. Don't stuff your articles with too much keywords. While trying to impress the search engines, you must not forget about pleasing your readers so you can easily convert them to potential clients. Make your articles reader-friendly by making your keywords sound natural on your content and by giving them the kind of information that can help in improving the quality of their lives.

3. Abide by the rules set by publishing sites. This is to save your articles from being rejected and avoid wasting your time on editing them. Publishers will only accept your articles if they are free from inappropriate content, hyperlinks, and blatant ads. Your resource box must not contain more than three hyperlinks and you must ensure that all your links are working properly.

4. Choose your topics wisely. To drive quality traffic to your website and to ultimately use this method to grow your ebusiness, write about topics that will attract those people who are most likely to buy from you. These topics should revolve around your products and services and the pressing needs of your potential clients. For instance, if you are selling diet pills, any topic about weight gain and how to combat weight gain can drive your target market to your website.

Article Directories And Directory Submission Guidelines I

The directory submission guidelines of the various article directories are a frequently ignored part of article marketing, especially when submissions are being made automatically by software or subscription sites.

You must read the submission guidelines of every individual article directory, and make sure that your article conforms to them. Failure to do this could result in your article being rejected, and this could have an effect future submissions. Not only this, but you should be aware of each directorys policy on HTML formatting that varies from directory to directory. Let us examine some typical article directory submission guidelines

Unless they are specialized directories, submissions should normally be made in English. Some directories are specifically designed for non-English languages and if you intend to write in a language other than English first carry out a search for suitable directories and their scope of publication. Some may limit the topics and other may be published in only a limited number of countries. However, even if your native language is English, it might be worthwhile having your article translated into another language in order to extend your exposure in countries such as China.

You generally must not submit the same article multiple times to different categories. This is spam and not only will your article not be published, but all of your articles could be banned from specific directories.

Some directories allow URLs to be included in the body of the article and others only in the bio box, often called the authors resource box. Some directories allow several URLs, and some only one. If the directory does not allow any, then do not use it since you have no way of advertising your website!
