Effective Strategies to Make Your Internet Marketing Business Grow

If you really want to succeed in your business, you must always be filled with growth, among many other things. Growing in your business is something that you must consciously labor on consistently, and there are three major ways to make your internet marketing business flourish.

Once you get a good grasp of how to do these three things, you can be assured that you will never run out of activities in your Internet marketing business. Doing them as frequently as possible is a tall order, but this is not impossible given the power the the Internet has given to its marketers.

More than ever, you will be able to make use of the Internet to do this more effectively as compared to doing it offline. If you want to build your list, then these are the three things you must get as you do business.

Get More Customers: Building Your Network and Traffic

Building your network and traffic begins by acquiring more customers. There are various ways to do this. You must choose the technique which will best work for you.

You can get more customers if you are good in marketing your products, if you have done your homework, meaning you have done your marketing plan and incorporated the use of automation via personalized autoresponders, an e-course and other systems you may use.

The right combination, frequency, exposure, seasoned with your hard work and determination, can help bring about the customers who will buy from you and not just be a mere visitor waiting for freebies.

Get Customers to Buy More: Upselling and Cross-Selling

Getting your customers to buy more is another thing. You may have convinced them at one time but not the second. That is completely another thing.

This is upselling in the sense that you increase the array of products your prospects are exposed to and make them buy more. You must also employ cross-selling. Selling in packages and making additional offers to supplement their selected purchases are also ways to get your customer to buy more.

Get Customers to Buy Often: Upsell in Continuity

Now, this is where you get to separate the high end buyers from those who are one time buyers. You must focus on your best clients and upsell in continuity to them. You must encourage them to purchase from you regularly. Once you have done this, you will have a steady stream of income in your hands and you will no longer have to worry about losing.

The thing about these three things is that they do not operate on a stage to stage basis. You can do them all simultaneously and you can possibly develop a knack for it over time.

You may find yourself inclined to succeed in one or two steps as you are initiating your business but eventually mastery of all three together is plausible and will be one of the keys with which success in your business will be opened up just for you.

Why Network Marketing Has a Bad Name

So why does Network Marketing have a bad name?

Here's why;

I've been involved in network marketing for sometime now, but haven't had success until a few years ago. I first saw this industry as a way to become financially free and develop that unique Residual income that 99% of the people don't have. It took me about 9 months to realize the things I was being taught and what I was doing was making me FAIL miserably.

Network Marketing companies have been teaching the wrong techniques and strategies for someone to become successful. Since Network Marketing companies are leading people to failure, this industry is receiving that bad name out there and the minute someone hears about it they just run away.

These are the Tips and Strategies they are teaching:(The Do Not Work)

1. Recruiting your friends and family ( This is the worse way to go, most of your friends and families have already been recruited or have figured out you are trying to recruit them)

2. The 3-way techniques and conference calls are just BORING and its all about the product.

3. ITS NOT all about the product. ITS ALL about the MARKETING tips, strategies, and ideas one puts together

4. None of these companies give you REAL MENTORSHIP, everyone is your "suppose mentor", well how does that work?..It doesn't! It is just a catch line to make you feel secure.

5. Not one of these companies teaches MARKETING tips-strategies, how to generate endless leads through the INTERNET.

6. Many of us are told "its just a numbers game", well that's just a lie. I have called through leads everyday for over 9 months and had NO SUCCESS, but wait " its just a numbers game".

These are just some of the main reasons why the NETWORK MARKETING industry receives a bad name because people are not making any money, 95% are failing within the first 3 months, People can not be duplicated only SYSTEMS can.

Many people that join this industry are looking for the FREEDOM, but sooner or later they don't see it and just walk away.

Also many of the COMPENSATION plans out there or not setup for someone to make a living right away maybe after 5 years of hard solid work, but RIGHT NOW TODAY most compensation plans are useless to survive and live on.

Thank You.

How To Acquire One Way Inbound Links

How can one get a good ranking in the major search engines ? This is a question, I'm sure, agitates the minds of every newbie as well as professional webmaster. Even those that are doing well are fighting to keep their place. But isn't there a way to consistently appear in a good position at the major search engines? I think there are ways to achieve this enviable position. One of the ways is what this article is all about. That is, consistently build one way inbound links to your site. Getting other webmasters to link to your site without you linking back.

Link Popularity, link prominence or link reputation is one of the most important elements search engines use to know if a site is an authority site. That is a quality site. However, like all other search engine ranking criteria, webmasters have found ways to beat this hurdle of link popularity. This they have done by exchanging links with one another. This is called reciprocal linking. You link to me and I to you and both of us have increased our link popularity by one.

Webmaster have realized the importance search engines attached to link popularity for top search engine positioning and have therefore resorted to reciprocal linking. However, in the near future this strategy will become obsolete, because these links are artificial links. Not generated voluntarily. And so they do not indicate a site as being an authority site.

The purpose of reciprocal linking is to increase link prominence for top search engine positioning and not necessarily for the benefit of web surfers. The search engines will recognize this. I predict that they will start taking this into account when they are changing their algorithms . The webmaster that will survive is one that consistently builds one way inbound links to his site. These types of links are the best. It portrays a site as being an authority site because the site is linked to naturally by other webmasters. Without reciprocal links.

Webmasters would not like to link to just any site unless there is some benefit for their site or site visitors. In this modern world nothing goes for nothing. A webmaster will only link to your site if there is some benefit for his site.

Why webmasters would link voluntarily.

Now in order for you to succeed in this one way inbound link building strategy, you need to know some of these benefits that lead webmaster to link voluntarily. If you like, call it the carrot. In accepting and eating the carrot the webmaster is led to link to your site. Let's look at some these benefits before we look at how they can be used to entice webmasters to link to you.

1. Webmasters would want to provide good, important and timely information for their visitors. If your site has this information, they will readily link to you. They could for example, point their visitors to a free resource at your site. 2. Webmasters recognize the fact that providing good information creates a good image for their site. Visitors will get to know that the site is a good resource site even though the resource might not be located there. This keeps visitors coming back again and again. 3. There is also the benefit of linking to an authority site. Search engines do award some points for linking to an authority site. Contrary to popular belief that this reduces the overall link popularity of a site, it actually benefits that page . This is my practical experience.

Now how do you acquire these one way inbound links?

1. Provide some useful resource at your site. This is a very powerful incentive for webmasters to link to your site. More so, if this resource is free. It could be a free tool , free software download, free content etc. This gives an incentive for webmasters to point their visitors at this resource. Some the resources you could provide are:

(a) Link popularity check tool

(b) Meta tag generator

(c) Search engine page analyzer

(d) Free CGI scripts

(e) Search engine page ranking check tool etc.

For free and paid scripts go to Hotscript.com or Searchscripts.com. There you will find all kinds of scripts that perform specific functions. Or you can hire a programmer to write a custom script for you. You will find programmers at many sites such as Elance.com.

2. Write good articles and submit to article sites, article syndicate sites and ezine announcement sites. Your article will be published along with your byline with a link pointing to your site. Make sure that the text link has your keywords in it and not your domain name. For example, < a href=" http://www.ebizstartups.com"> home base business ideas and not www.ebizstartups.com

Webmasters are always looking for good content for their websites . Stating in your article that your byline be left intact you will have many one way inbound links pointing at your site in no time. If you cannot write, hire a writer to write your articles for you. There are many places on the net where you can hire a writer for as little as $5 per article. This depends on the number of words per article. One of these places to hire a writer is Elance.com.

Writing in your area of expertise is better. Then you can present your own unique perspective to the topic. If it is not your area of expertise then be sure to research the topic very well . An incisive, well-written article will be snapped up and published by other webmasters, thereby increasing your link popularity considerably.

3. Another way to build your one way inbound link is to participate intensively in newsgroups and discussion forums. By making good and valuable contributions (postings) you establish yourself as an expert. Always try to be different and stand out. Others will see this and check out your profile. This will lead them to check out your site and eventually link to it. If signature files are allowed in the forum use a well-crafted signature file that will pull forum members to your site

4. Enter your site for an award at award sites. If your site is selected for an award, a link is placed to your site and this increases your one way inbound links.

5. You could also acquire one way inbound links by offering to provide testimonials for products you have purchased. Send the manufacturer of the product or service an email offering to provide a testimonial at his site or sales page in return for a link back to your site.

6. Submit your site to directories. Especially, niche or specialist directories. Regional directories are also okay. Submitting your site to specialist directories gives your site a greater chance of being picked up by the search engines than when you submit to a general directory. Also consider paying for submission to some important directories. For a fee, these directories will index your site in their database within two to five business days. For a list of search engines and directories you can submit to for free and for a fee go to add url to directories. Consider hiring a link building company to do your link popularity campaign for you. One of such company is linkexpress.com For a fee they will guarantee a certain number of quality one way inbound links to your site. This might be expensive but the investment will surely pay off with traffic from free search engines.

8. You can offer a discount to webmaster on services you provide at your site in return for a link from their sites.

9. If you have goods or services for sale consider setting up an affiliate program. This is a very good way of rapidly building your link prominence. Make sure your affiliate software is hosted on your server. This ensures that your affiliates' links point back to your site . Using an affiliate service will most likely mean affiliate links will be pointing at their server, thereby depriving you of links. One very good affiliate software is ASSOTRAC.

Some points to note when building one way inbound links.

Your link popularity increases as websites link to you. However, it must be said that it is not the number but the quality of the links that is important. That is, emphasis should be on quality and not quantity. Not all links are equal. Some are more favored (carry more weight) than others. Some of the things to keep in mind when carrying out inbound links are;

1. Look for quality sites to acquire links from. A link from Dmoz or Yahoo has more weight than one from a small private web site. Submit to free or paid listings in important directories.

2. The way other sites link to you is very important. Try as much as possible, to see that your keywords are in the text link that is linking to you and not your domain name. With your keywords in the text link it portrays your site as an authority site for the keyword.

3. Acquire links from complementary sites. Sites that are in the same industry as yours, but are not your competitors. Links from these type of sites have more weight than from those that are not related to your site.

4. Links from specialist or niche directories also carry more weight than those from less important general directories and your links are easier to find by the search engines. When submitting to directories, especially for a fee, be sure to choose a relevant category that is not deep down in the directory. Your listing should be at most three clicks away from the home page of the directory. Some engines will not spider deep down.

5. If you have several websites, link them together in such a way that the links are one way inbound links, and not reciprocal links. Also don't share the same IP address for the sites. All the sites should have unique IPs. This you can ensure by using a different host for each web site.

Conclusion.

Acquiring one way inbound links is the future of link popularity. Sooner the search engines will recognize the artificial nature of reciprocal linking in judging authority sites and will discount this in their algorithm or award less points (weight) to reciprocal links. The methods listed above in acquiring one way inbound links are basic, must do actions for every webmaster wishing to stay long at the top of the search engines.

Tried-and-Tested Way To Bring Visitors To Your Website

Ask any experienced internet marketers what is the method he most commonly used to generate traffic and more likely than not you will hear article-marketing.

What is Article Marketing and how does it work?

Simply write articles related to your expert topic or targeted niche. Next submit them to free content submission sites or article directories.

Each article is usually about 300 500 words long. It requires no advertising costs, just a a little time to put to words what you probably already know by heart.

How can article-writing boost traffic and income?

The articles contains a link to your own website at the end (known as backlinks), usually incorporated in a little resource box about the writer. After reading your articles, people may choose to click on the link and pay you an unexpected visit.

More importantly there are thousands of webmasters constantly scouting at article directories for new and good quality articles to publish on their own sites. When they do that, your article appears on their website too along with the backlinks.

As the list of publishers grow with your article appearing on more and more websites on the internet, the total number of backlinks to your site also increases. As a result your website gets ranked higher and higher on the search engines result pages Search Engine Optimization without any efforts! This is because search engines like Google place a lot of emphasis on the number of incoming backlinks to determine importance of a web page.

Search engines do not just index websites but also published articles. Hence whenever someone in your target market searches for a related topic, your articles may get call up just as well as your website. Either way you stand to benefit from the increased exposure on the internet as all your articles contain backlinks to your website. This is akin to you having thousands of webpages online waiting to be scooped up by any search engines.

How can you start?

As in all things, the most difficult part is taking the 1st step.

If you are new to article-writing, I suggest you first go to some article directories like ezinearticles.com and take a look at how articles are written by established writers and experts in various domains.

Start writing that first article within the next 10 days by deciding on a suitable topic related to your niche and have 3 key points or solutions to share.

Once that is achieved, set a higher goal of completing 10 articles within the next 30 days, followed by 50 articles in 3 months and so on. The idea is to take incremental small steps as you improve.

Have fun writing and soon you will be on your way to higher profits as more backlinks are generated on the net for your website attracting tremendous amount of free traffic to you.

Internet Article Marketing - 4 Simple Free Ways To Flood Traffic To Your Website

Article Marketing can be very profitable if done effectively. I see a lot of people asking how they can make money with article marketing. Many people just need to change a few things that would make a big difference in their results. I have recently come across some great resources of information that has helped many entrepreneurs go from failing to being extremely successful with article marketing. I want to pass some of these tips along to you.

Implement these 4 simple ways to flood traffic to your website.

1st. Keyword research. This is greatly overlooked by most people. It is extremely important to search for keywords that are highly searched but not too much competition. If you pick highly competive keywords you may never get shown. Don't just shoot a target market blindfolded. Make sure that the key word is very relevant to the topic. Http://Tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook is a good free place to search keywords.

2nd. Unique Content. This is so important. You don't want to use premade articles and blast it in all the article directories. If you do choose to use premade articles, change then some so that they are uniquely yours. The search engines are looking for unique, fresh content and they will reward you for having quality articles. Your articles should be informative, not salesy.

If Your article generates interest, people will pass it on to their discussion groups, newsletters and websites. Your article can spread like W-I-L-D F-I-R-E.

3rd. What is so important about the title? Well one thing is the Keyword. The keyword should be in the first 4 words of the title. This is very important for the search engines to pick up your article and give you better chances of making your article seen

Also you only have a few seconds to grab your readers attention. You title needs to reach out and grab your readers. Make it interesting and attention getting. Fill it with benefits.

4th. Many people neglect what they put in the signature box. The signature box is most important in connecting your visitors to you. You can have the best article in the world but if your signature box is boring you will lose them.

Make sure your link includes http:// in it. In many cases it won't be linkable. This happens more then you think.

IMPORTANT...People DON'T put a period at the end of your url. This will go to a bad link. Bad idea. Also Make sure you link is relevant to your article. You don't want to have an article about dresses and lead them to a swim ware website.

Well there you have it. By focusing on these few things, (Keyword research, the title, content and signature box), you will make a huge difference with your results in article marketing. I have just barely scratched the surface but this is a start. Article marketing is very valuable internet strategy. Stay consistent, keep writing and enjoy your success.

Submit Articles For Money Or Love?

Targeted traffic to your website is the lifeblood of free money online. Submit articles for free article directories such as ezinearticles and you are assured of success. Submitting articles has been a proven method of generating free traffic and free money from advertisers willing and eager to capture some of your traffic to their more lucrative websites.

There are many advantages to yourself and your advertisers if you submit articles for money making websites. Firstly there is the advantage of a generous back link to your website targeted to entice the search engines spiders to follow along. Secondly, there is also the benefits of a reader of your submitted article being interested in your content and duplicating it for the benefits of their readers, this again brings additional benefits.

Submit articles for money generating purposes and you could be in serious danger of making it to the front pages of google and other search engines if you can possibly write interesting enough content with sufficient keyword optimization skills to satisfy the search engines. I am not here to discuss all the merits of submitting an article, however I do suggest you add article writing and article submission to your arsenal of online marketing strategies.

Our advice is to submit articles about those things you feel at ease writing about. It tends to assist your article submission when published to the world wide web. Words always tend to flow with ease when articles are written in this way.

Now, the fun part begins when you begin to submit articles for money making websites online. These particular articles are genuinely written with the sole intention of driving highly targeted visitors to your website. Their purpose as an article is to generate genuine interest in the subject written.

If we were to take this article as an example, it would obviously be written in such a style as to generate interest in article submission and the benefits thereof. We would suggest to submit articles written in this type of style and to do so on a regular basis. I personally submit articles on a two or three day basis, this of course is no more than maybe two or three articles per week, the subjects of those articles are never the same and they are spread across several topics of interest.

When you submit articles in this way, it allows for a larger catchment of people and as we mentioned earlier the purpose of the article is to generate additional traffic. I do not believe for an instant that there are authors that do not keep this in the forefront of their mind when creating a masterpiece to submit to article directories.

If you find manually inputting your article is too much like hard work, then why not submit articles to your favorite free article directories using purpose made article submitter software. They have the capabilities to automatically fill in forms and article content onto article submission pages at a breeze.

I am still a great believer in the personal approach when I submit articles. Creating an original article on one source, however, the day is fast approaching where this type of automated article submission will overtake the capacity of us die hard article writers. I guess the internet has room for us all, but for how much longer?

Lucrative Article Marketing - 3 Very Simple Steps to Do Article Marketing

The defining aspect of article marketing is to simply allow for your messages to be conveyed in the market thru the use of the article writing. The use of article marketing to relay any important message to the potential client is a proven effective method in both cost and results. These have become the driving forces for the continued trust and usage that a lot of businessmen and marketing experts bestow upon this tool. For the many new business enthusiasts and marketers, there are a few simple steps that you can perform should you want to engage into article marketing. Below are some of them:

a. Clearly define your targeted clients. By knowing who your potential clients are and what they basically ask for in terms of information, you will have a better perspective on how you will be creating your article material and basically the entire marketing process that you have in mind. In addition, this will also allow you to lose some unessential aspects of the article that you may inadvertently write.

b. Clearly define what you will be writing. Since you have pre-collected information about the profile of your targeted clients, you can now start collating some ideas to write for your article. Make sure, though, that the article writing is something that bears relevance in the field of specialization of the prospective readers, which will be deemed functional and usable.

c. Cleary review the contents of your resource box. At the culmination of the article material, you can write important details about you. Make sure that you include your identifiers such as your name, the company that you are representing, and potentially a link that will direct these readers to your own web landing page. However, do not try to make the resource box look like an autobiography. Make it rather short in size but strongly written.

Online Marketing - Your Squidoo Marketing Strategy

When people first start out using squidoo to make them money through affiliate programs, they usually fail. Why? Because they don't grasp what squidoo is really about and thus they make their lens into and affiliate advertisement. This is a horrible marketing tactic.

Squidoo is used for one purpose, to help the audience. That's it, it's not used to sell something. No, no, no. Today, when people are browsing the internet, that is exactly what their doing, they're "browsing." They aren't browsing on the internet to immediately buy something. NO. They are simply looking for the information that they want to look for. This is the idea of web 2.0. People are using the internet as a guide, to help point them to the right direction. That is what your lens should be doing, it should be providing information to your audience, to help them better understand what they're looking for. Your lens is a filter, not an advertisement campaign.

Your lens should be a resource to your audience. Not a one stop buying gallery. Your lens needs to have valuable information in it, so then your audience will keep coming back for more, to get more information from you. You are their guide. Create a resource, and the profits will follow. That is what marketing is all about and will always be about. Resources. Nobody will buy from you if they cannot trust you. They have to learn to trust you, before they can buy something from you.

Your lens is all about information, not your product. Point them in the right direction, be a professional, and soon your profits will increase.

Article Marketing - Using Bullet Points and Paragraphs

Readers don't like to read long paragraphs. Readers hate articles that are just one long paragraph. Why? Because in order to get information out of that article, they have to read the whole thing. Writing articles in one long paragraphs will not only make your readers angry, but your article will not do very good in it's market. It's true.

Adding bullet points and paragraphs are the best ways to write an article. This way, viewers can just skip through certain parts of your article and read the major parts. The faster you can give your reader information, the more of a chance that you'll have of them actually clicking on your URL link.

So here are some reasons why bullet points and paragraphs will get you more URL links and why.

  • Bullet points help your readers to get information quickly. Whenever a reader reads your article, they are reading it because they want an answer to something. Provide them with your answer fast! The faster you can provide them with an answer, the more of a chance they will click on your link.

  • Breaking up your article into paragraphs and bulelt points makes your article look more professional and trustworthy. Having paragraphs and bullets instead of having just one long paragraph can make your reader think that you have valuable information.

  • Breaking up your article will increase your article writing time. Instead of going back to your long paragraph trying to look for a sentence to rewrite, writing a paragraph or a bullet helps you identify where you put your sentences in. This will increase your writing time vastly!

Bullet points and paragraphs are great ways to make your article more valuable and time efficient to your readers. No reader wants to read a long paragraph, and they shouldn't! Break up your articles into small fragments, and your URL clicks will increase!

Article Marketing - Should You Submit To Multiple Article Directories? If So, How Many?

There was one question that I had, that I wasn't sure who I could trust for the most accurate answer. I read article after article and I even read a few training manuals, and I still felt conflicted about the answer. What is the question you ask? The question was simple, should you submit articles to multiple directories, and if so, how many?

Let me start by saying, that if you want to learn about article writing, start with one directory that has live people who proof, edit and approve all articles that get published on their directory. The feedback you get will be invaluable.

Second, I think you should be willing to read 20 or 30 articles, and then buy and complete the training materials of one of the authors that you feel best suits you based on the articles you were able to read for free.

And Finally, I think that you have to have written at least 25 articles, maybe more, for some people a lot more, until you really start to have a handle on article writing.

Notice I did not say that you should not write any articles until you have done any of these things. I did not even say that you should not write any articles on article writing until you have done any of these things.

As matter of fact, if you really want to learn about and become a master article writer, then write 10 to 25 articles on article writing. I cannot think of a better way to learn anything than to try and teach it to someone else.

As a matter of fact, I don't think you can consider yourself a real master at anything until you have taught someone else to be a master. Again, I am not saying you can't be an expert, but to really master something, you have to have successfully taught others to do the thing.

Ok, what was my question again? Oh yeah, multiple directories yes or no, and if so, how many? Let me explain one more thing quickly so you know why this question is not obvious. The reason is the search engines and what some describe as a penalty for duplicate content.

The search engines would not be doing their job if you did a search and got two full pages of results from one article that had been submitted and published to a thousand different places on the Internet. Not to mention that spammers use tactics like this to try and beat the system and the search engines are adding value by not letting such things work or go unchecked.

Let me just finish by saying that the goal is article syndication. You submit your articles to directories not only so the search engines will give your articles appropriate search engine rankings for their key word content, but you submit them so others can use your articles on their blogs, websites and in their ezines because they are looking for content to help them keep fresh and interesting information.

The bottom line is that the search engines have hundreds of other variables that they use to determine ranking, with the goal to be human friendly. The value you get through exposure and back links to your site through your articles being widely syndicated has an intrinsic value that supplies viewers to your website independently of the search engines: for a sense of security, you should know that you are not completely dependent on the search engines for all your traffic and your livelihood.

So publish your articles to good and widely accepted article directories on the Internet and let them do their part for you through syndicating your articles and supplying traffic back to your site.

Hooked on List Building - One-on-One List Building Strategies Work

Are you still fighting the challenge to build a list of effective supporters for your business online? Power up and get on board, this is important stuff. You can't earn money online without a list in the long term.

Of course you can earn a few bucks online and grab your own readers for buying new products one at a time, but what about the long range income options? Can you do that one person at a time? Ultimately, NO! But you can get started one person at a time and build your list from there.

1. Email your family and friends an interesting article you've written and invite them to pass it on to their family and friends. Don't mass mail it. Send it to one at a time, so you don't have a whole list of emails at the top. Spam filters wipe out mass emails.

2. Send your family and friends (one at a time) an invitation to receive a free gift from your website, include links to your website and ask them to pass on your free gift with a link back to your 'squeeze page' so everyone who grabs the gift will sign in to your FREE Ezine.

3. Cut through the BS by adding your website to the signature portion of your emails and invite everyone to sign into your site for a FREE gift. Be sure you send great emails so they will get read every time. Increase your friends and family list in your email by adding everyone to your address book list.

Internet Marketing Advice for Beginners

For many people new to the internet, they see it not only as a source of information but also as a source of profit. For those who see it as a potential source of income, they search the web looking for a way to fulfill this dream. There are many traps that they can fall into and there are a few things they should know before starting this endeavor.

Internet usage worldwide increased 265% from 2000 to 2007(InternetWorldStats.com). This creates a huge opportunity for business owners to capitalize on the navet of those new internet users. Claims of "wealth within hours", and "all of the answers in one ebook" are abound on the internet today. This leads to a lot of misinformation and false hope.

One opportunity that exists on the internet is in the form of affiliate marketing. This is a good way to start in the internet marketing realm for someone new to the concept. However, if someone is using a duplicated site that is offered to all of the members of that program; it is hard to stand out and be noticed. Free website offers can be very alluring to the untrained eye but in actuality they are very hard to market and even harder to profit from. It is always best to have your own site that is unique. Keeping content varied and different from "the rest of the pack" will give you an edge on marketing a product or program.

An even more popular program is in the form of a membership site. These programs will offer you all the tools of the trade to get your own internet business. Some of these programs are great to get involved with if the owners are reputable and care about their members. Other site owners are simply offering the memberships to profit from the fees and do not offer good products. It is always good to get unbiased testimonials before considering a membership.

Another common sight to see is people peddling ebooks with information varying from how to create a website, how to write an ebook, etc. These products can be good or they can be bad. The new internet marketers should be wary of spending lots of money on ebooks with fantastic claims. There are some great ebooks out there with great content, but it is not recommended to put a lot of money into a product when the information can likely be found on the internet for free. If you spend a few dollars to get the info you are looking for in one place would be okay, but to fork over several $20's or $50's for information you can readily find with a little bit of research of your own is not recommended.

To close, the greatest piece of advice for all new internet marketers is to do research. Just as CEO's of major corporations deliberate with a board of directors, you too should sit down and investigate any business venture before you dive in head first. It is very easy to get starry eyed and follow a self proclaimed "guru" or greatest "new product just launched". Try to differentiate your business from all the other internet marketers to get an edge, and offer a worthwhile and unique product that can be easily marketed. Anyone new to internet marketing who stays away from gimmicks and schemes, will have a greater chance to profit. Try to join a free internet marketers forum for more specific and detailed help and you should be well on your way.

Article Marketing - Discover One Of the Most Powerful Internet Marketing Techniques Of All Time

One of the best Internet marketing techniques is to promote your products or services via articles marketing. In fact, article marketing is one of the surefire way to rise a website or blog's profile.

Here is what you need to do to start your own profitable article marketing advertising campaign today.

1. Make a list of the best articles directories

You are going to research the site with the higher page rank (5 or higher). It's easy to do. Just type the keyword "Article directories" in Google and you are done. Be sure to only submit to article sites with a real marketing force behind them. Those people moderate articles and make sure that the site only contain quality.

The best of the best is ezinearticles.com. In fact, if you chose to submit to this one only, you would do fine.

Now, let's go to the second step

2. Write an article

Just write an interesting article. If it's your first time, just read a few good ones on your topic, and when you feel you read enough, just start typing and tell to others (beginners) what you learned.

3. Add a powerful bio box

The bio box is one of the most important part of your article marketing strategy. Be sure to add a powerful call to action. Here is an example: "To download my highly acclaimed free ebook about article marketing, visit John Doe's website today at JohnDoe.com"

It should be something like this.

One you are ready, you need to...

3. Submit every single day

Once you finished your article, you need to submit it to the websites you found in step #1. Be sure to submit at least one article every single day. After one year, you will have 365 articles working for you day and night.

Article marketing shouldn't be ignored in your overall marketing plan. Be sure to have a system in place to get those articles out there every single day.

Article Marketing - Write Your Way Into Search Results - Traffic And $$$

In my regular scouring of the internet marketing do's and don'ts, I come across an endless sea of opinions, many of them contradictory of other opinions by internet marketers and gurus. You may have seen something like what I'm referring to. Some internet marketers will tell you "Adsense is dead", while others assure you that "There's still life in Adsense and other Pay Per Click programs!" One of the topics that has come to my attention recently is regarding the use of articles to raise the search ranking of your website and do some honest to goodness SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

There are several aspects to SEO, of course. This article takes a look at articles and how their content can be used to your advantage to build your website popularity.

One opinion I've seen time and time again that has been trumpeted by scores of marketers, and that has never been contested, is "search engines love content." I'll go a step further and say, "Search engines love original content."

If you want to see what I'm referring to, do a search under "article sites" and see how many directories you pull up. Article directories are out there in droves, keeping a large supply of articles that can be (and usually are) used by people publishing ezines or adding content to their sites. I've submitted articles to several of these sites for free. Here's why submitting articles is a win-win situation:

Win for you: You get to include a "resource box" with your article, which can be a link back to your website (or the affiliate site you are promoting)

Win for them: ezine publishers need to come up with articles every day/week/month. Webmasters want their proverbial "regularly updated content." Article directories give them the ammo they need to keep their updates regular and their content fresh.

Of course, this does mean you will need to write. If you like to write already, great - get started! If writing is about as fun for you as pulling your teeth with rusty jumper cables, all is not lost. My suggestion is to look at sites like Elance (www.elance.com) and look for writers on the topic you want to cover. Elance has a bidding system, which allows you to post a project for bids and let prospective writers bid on it. Once you have your article written, you will need to submit it. There is an endless array of article sites on the web. You can also take a shortcut by trying an article submission tool.

Something else to remember - SEO will take awhile. Even if you have submitted articles, you must give them time to make their way into the hands of those people who will publish them on sites and on the web.

So there you have it - articles help you promote your web site the write way!

The Affiliate Marketing Mindset

You have heard all about affiliate marketing in the past - how affiliate marketers earned their first million, how they have purchased a better car, a new house, blah, blah, blah. And because they won you over their success stories, you tried the stuff yourself. But instead of earning millions of dollars, replacing your badly beaten car, and moving to an entirely new residence, you have lost thousands of dollars worth of investment, burned too many precious hours, and wasted worthwhile effort.

Why are some affiliate marketers successful and you are not? Are they just bluffing when they said they got rich being an affiliate marketer? Probably not, maybe yes. But then again, the possibility of earning money out of affiliate marketing is real. You can really earn so much out of it if only you know how to do it right.

However, there are affiliate marketers who are a master in search engine optimization. Others can build back links faster than a blink of an eye. There are also a few who have the flair to amass massive traffic in just a matter of hours. With these prized talents, why do these people still fail?

Well, they may have the right talents. But they lack one crucial thing when it comes to affiliate marketing - mindset. Having the right mindset is very important if you want to succeed in affiliate marketing. Mindset focuses you on the goal. It is what keeps you on track as you build your affiliate marketing empire. It is the very thing that could motivate you to earn your millions, get your new car, and move to your new house. More often than not, mindset is all you need to thrive.

To have the right mindset day in and day out, you have to constantly check your goals, both short term and long term, and see how you're fairing. Reward yourself for every small victory. Double your efforts if you fail on something. You should also start making everything around you a reminder of your goals. Your office, your computer, and your furniture - everything you see, use, and feel should motivate you to work harder, do better, and come out stronger in all the affiliate marketing efforts that you do.

Article Marketing - Six Secrets Revealed

Article marketing is the only method I use for driving traffic to my sites and it works well. The biggest problem people seem to have with article marketing is that they don't think it's possible to write a lot of articles in a short time. I'm here to tell you it is possible.

The more articles you publish, the more success you have. So ideally, you should aim to publish around 10 articles a day. Here are my top 6 tips for article marketing success.

  1. Write down 10 topics that you plan to write articles about. Stick to what you know, so that it keeps it quick. If you have a piece of software to help you out of course, just write down any topics. Write them in word, so you can keep being creative on your computer.
  2. Start your first article. Write an introduction. 100 words should do it and will get you off to a good start with the rest of your article.
  3. In your first sentence introduce what you are writing about. In the second sentence pose a challenge and in the third sentence, solve it. Then use 6/7 bullet points for the bulk of your article.
  4. My articles are usually about 300 words. Keep it short and concise.
  5. Don't obsess over quality. If you write what you know, or use software to generate your article it will be quality writing anyway.
  6. Keep writing. If you don't see success straight away, keep at it. There is no such thing as a get rich quick scheme and article marketing is no different. It will happen for you if you keep writing.

Building Links For Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

In the past all you had to do to get good rankings in Google and the other search engines was to trade links with several other web sites using your key words in the link text. Although this still holds true today, I have reason to believe sites are being penalized for not using a directory style link structure with no more than 25 links per page. Having a directory style links system on your site will make it more of a resource to your visitors and not just a bunch of un-organized links all lumped together on a single page.

There are of coarse other ways to attract incoming links to your web site without providing a link back or whats called a reciprocal link.

1. There are thousands of forums out there that will allow your links in a short signature file at the end of each post. Join forums that are related to your subject matter and take part in the discussions. Make sure you use your key words in you signature file link and not just your URL.

2. Submit your site to as many directories as you can. There are thousands of directories out there that will post your website into there directory for free and also some that charge a small one time fee. Again your title or link text is key. Make sure you are using your key words in your link text or title.

3. Writing and submitting articles like this one with a small resource box at the end is also a good way to attract one way links back to your site. When you submit your articles to the many article directory portals you are getting links from the portal site, plus people will search for and use the articles from the portal site on their own sites. If you write just 1 good article and submit it to 10-20 portal sites you could end up with 100s of back links over a very short time.

4. Writing and submitting press releases work almost the same way an article works. You write the press release and submit it to PR sites. The PR site will submit it to the major search engine for a small fee and your press release could end up on Google and Yahoo news search the next day. People are also looking for free news feeds to syndicate on their web sites and blogs. If you write a good news piece it could end up on 100s of blogs and other news sites around the web. Again make sure your web site link is in the news piece some were.

5. Free classifieds may not provide you with much traffic but you can create hundreds of back links to your web site with a little time and effort.

6. There are also web sites that will place your link on their front page as a sponsored link for a small fee. For this to work thou you need to make sure your links are up for more than a month or two. If the search engine picks up your link one month but its gone the next it wont do much good.

So for those of you who concentrate entirely on reciprocal links and are wondering what has happened to your Google ranking, you may want to consider a few or all of the above linking techniques.

How To Increase Your Link Popularity

Almost every site needs to increase their link popularity.

How should you go about doing this without incurring the wrath of the search engines?

It's generally accepted that the more inbound links you have to your site, the better. But that's not the whole story. Some links are more equal than others. Generally, the more difficult it is to acquire the link, the higher importance the search engines will place on it. So a link from, say, the home page of CNN will likely be worth a lot more than a link from your granny's site that just displays pictures of her grandchildren.

Links from certain "bad neighborhoods" may even count against you. Sites that are deemed to be "link farms", created for the sole purpose of generating links are usually worth avoiding. Similarly, sites where you can add your link and it instantly appears (often called Free For All link sites) are usually bad news. They may have had their use a few years ago but they're no longer worth your time.

Link swapping, also known as reciprocal linking, is also being given less importance by the search engines. They figure that it's relatively easy to swap links, so they put two and two together and figure that these reciprocal links are also not worth too much.

Some directories are "good" to get links from. Places like the Open Directory and Yahoo's directory, where a human looks at your site and checks it over, are good places to get links from. Other directories, where you place a link back to them or pay a small fee of a few dollars, vary in quality. Install the Google toolbar to check the page rank of your proposed directory before submitting.

Search Engine Optimization - Article Marketing and SEO

With the invention of search engine optimization a new world of advertising possibilities was created!

Article marketing for example is a form of key word marketing that provides a reader the opportunities to click on various hyperlinked words and be directed to another website to gain more knowledge or view products. Article marketing and its impact on SEO has been both negative and positive. SEO is a way that search engines perform pagerankings of websites.

Those websites that use Article marketing are more likely to have more clicks and visitors then those sites that do not use it. I am not saying that it is a guaranteed form of advertising, but it does generate traffic by reaching a larger audience. For one, searches are seeking information and if you site pertains or could aid in information or you could benefit for the information they received why not use article marketing to generate more traffic and promote your site.

The negative result is that it has caused those that do not use article marketing in SEO to not be higher up in the pagerankings. Is that fair? Maybe its not fair, but its a marketing strategy. When marketing anything you should use all the tools at your disposal and in the Internet world one tool is article marketing.

Those sites who use article marketing are reaping the positive rewards of article marketing but since SEO is a from of keyword searches, does that mean that they should be higher in the page rankings when they werent actually searched and found? Each search engine provides a set of rules that they apply by and as long as you follow that article marketing can benefit you.

How To Find The Best Internet Marketing Training

So you want to be an Internet Marketer? You want to be your own boss. You want to set your own hours and work from the comfort of your own home, no matter where in the world you choose to live. You simply want the freedom working on the web gives you.

Realistically, the only major obstacle in your way is a good solid training or education in how online marketing really works.

So just how does one earn a living online?

No doubt you have heard all the over-hyped stories of how some nearly comatose dim-wit with just a few functioning brain cells makes a financial killing online. Or how some geeky high school kid working on a computer in his parent's basement, cracks the formula for making big bucks on the net.

However, if you can dismiss all the bogus claims and see through all the marketing hype, you will find thousands upon thousands of very ordinary people quietly working on the web and making a very decent living from the comfort of their own homes.

All of them had to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to become part of this new cyber workforce. Each one had to obtain a good education or training in order to make the web work for them. They had to discover the techniques and methods of making a website or online business produce revenue 24/7/365, earning income automatically even while they're sleeping.

Different Ways To Earn Online Income

Complicating the whole process is the fact that there are countless ways to earn income on the web. You can build websites and earn money thru advertising, you can sell your own products or services, you can do affiliate marketing and sell other people's products, you can become a consultant and sell your expertise, you can work the eBay system, you can do Google arbitrage buying and selling traffic... these are just a few of the countless ways you can earn a living online.

One obvious fact still remains - you have to learn this stuff. You have to know how all this works. You have to obtain an Internet marketing training or education.

Like any profession it is best to learn from someone who is actually pursuing that profession, simply learn your trade from another reputable online marketer. Unfortunately, this can be a virtual minefield if you're not careful in your choice of educator you may end up wasting a lot of time and money on foolish 'get-rich-quick' programs and useless info products that you will never use.

One Way Link Building - Secure Way to Improve Page Ranking

Link building is one of the effective ways to assure a higher page ranking for your website in search engines. Links are considered as a positive "vote" towards the quality of the website. Each website acquires link popularity depending on the pages that link to it. Google and other search engines consider the link popularity when they evaluate the web pages that they include in the search engine databases. Google has a toolbar where you can see the page rank of websites you visit, so you can use the Google toolbar to get a good insight about your website's link popularity.

One-Way Links and Their Value for Your Website

A one-way link is a link pointing to your website from someone else's web page with nothing in return. Sometimes the webmasters can agree to exchange the links between their websites; those links are called reciprocal. One-way links are more valuable for the website link popularity.

The main advantage of one-way links is that you don't have to worry about linking back to a "bad neighborhood". If you exchange links with the sites that serve as "link farms" or "free-for-all" sites, you may not gain, and even lose the page rank. These sites tend to have links to and from all different sorts of sites. Google and other search engines guess that those sites serve the only purpose: artificially increase the number of links pointing to your site, so they give no value to these links.

Another "plus" of one-way links is that they will tend to stay in place. A webmaster who places a link to your website on his page thinks that their visitors will benefit from the content of your site. So, you benefit from having long term links to your site, in particular links from sites covering the same or related topics as your site.

How to Obtain Natural One-Way Links

The most important thing to keep in mind is that to get more links, you must offer something significant to link to. Think of what you can give that people will want to link to:

  • Natural links from related websites that like your website
  • Free access to articles, e-books, FAQ's or other content
  • Directory links, listed under the category related to your topic
  • Business directory links, listed under the category related to your topic
  • Blogs, submitted to a blog directory and archived online
  • Business associations, listed under the category related to your topic
  • Newsletter text ads promoting your business, archived online on related websites
  • Original articles, submitted to and archived online on related websites
  • Original press releases, submitted to and archived online on related websites

In return for each type of the mentioned content, you will want to have an active link pointing to your site. When you create your own original content, always save your work in the archive on your website. Thus, you will build your content and increase your own link popularity by growing the number of pages on your website.

One more advantage of one-way links is that you are also promoting your website from the listing and the active link. Articles, newsletters, white papers, directory and business association links may bring in traffic from visitors who are interested in the description of your website listing.

How to Be Sure the Links are Indexed by Search Engines

The link pointing back to your website must be the one that can be followed by the search engine robots. It can be a plain old text link or image link. JavaScript links are not recommended because they cannot typically be followed by the search engine robots. The simpler linking code you provide the better. Don't hesitate to suggest linking formats to the webmasters that link to you and provide them with the types of links that serve your purposes best.

Use a search engine and conduct a search for the page where the link to your website will be located. You can search via the entire website or by individual page. If the page is listed in the search engine results, this means the page was indexed by the search engine robots. So, you know that the web page is valid for indexing and that your link will be picked up as well.

One-way link building supposes hard work and long term determination to achieve good link popularity. Work at improving the quality of your website, and you'll improve the chance to obtain good quality natural links. Spend a set amount of time each week to build quality one-way links to achieve your goal. With this long-term plan you will be able to safely build links for optimum link popularity success.

I've just scratched the surface in the article presented. You can find a lot more valuable information about how to increase your site popularity by building quality one-way links here: One Way Link Building Tips
